you don't want to know
I'd say they have quite a bit more going for them than just the camera but it looks like your mind is made up. Why not chose another Sony or whichever model you like and meets your needs and expectations,?

Like S Health? :D Who need that?
I am talking about basic things like camera, battery, stability.
M2 is working perfectly fine for me. Price is affordable and it is very stable device. I will not spend more than 400€ on a mobile phone.

Been back on my iPhone 6 and I have to say how dull and lifeless the screen looks compared to my S6. And unlike some others, no lag! Actually see more lag on my iPhone than on my S6.

Ended up putting a normal screen protector on it rather than a tempered glass. Read a lot of reports that most still have that halo effect? I don't plan on dropping my phone (WELL I"LL TRY NOT TO!). I just hate fingerprints. I'm pretty careful with pockets etc.

I was playing with a friends 4 day old S6 this afternoon and I was surprised how laggy it was for a device with virtually none of its storage used up. Swiping sideways between screens and the delay opening apps was most apparent. It took nearly 4 seconds to open the camera app. My iPhone 6 was incredibly smooth in comparison. What's the secret for improving the lag as I wish to pass the info on? :)

I honestly don't know. I'm using touch wiz as my launcher. Using the material design theme and mine is as zippy as the day I got it. I think carrier bloat ware plays into this, I have T-Mobile and they didn't include much on the device.

From what I have read on here it appears it affects some and not others. I told her I would research it and let her know. She has got it set so all icons are huge, not sure if that would slow it down somewhat if it's got assistive access activated.

Has she tried using the easy launcher? The icons are huge by default, so maybe it would perform better than magnifying the stock launcher?

I was going to mention Nova to her as I've often read about it here. Do you think this might suppress some of the bloat causing the lag? Is the easy launcher a setting that simplifies the interface?

One thing I will say and that is the camera is very good on the S6. I was impressed with it as a device and once it has a few of the stutters sorted, she'll have a lovely phone. Looks nice in gold too.

Stupid question.

How do you wipe cache partition? I always did it on the Nexus 6 by simply reflashing the cache partition.

You go into recovery.

Power button + volume up + home button

Hold down at start until blue Galaxy screen and let go. After you get the ? Symbol it will go into recovery. Scroll down with volume keys to select wipe cache partition. Press power button to select. Scroll up to reboot. Power button to confirm :)
