Would you guys choose the A9 over the S6 (which is cheaper second hand)?

I had an S6, which I traded for an iPhone 6S. I'd consider the A9 at $399. At the same price the S6 is clearly the across the board better phone, but at $399 the A9 is a solid device. Looks great too.

I'd say is screen and camera are your top priority in a smartphone, yes. Especially good when you consider the overall package.
Next month the prices will surely plunge after the US Thanksgiving holiday but for now I wasn't certain of the price for a friend.

Are you forgetting Google update core apps now independently via the play store, and os Update now usually means a new wallpaper and a slightly different look to the settings bar, not nearly a big a deal as folk make out. .

Don't really care what it does, the fact is if you buy an android phone it's more than likely that you will be using that version until you get a new phone. With exception of few expensive phones from big players.

I had to try android, i did, its a piece of ****.

You proved yourself that you are in a wrong place. S6 is still a great phone

So your response to a claim being refuted Is that you dint really care anyway.. then resort to childish foul mouth retorts. . If this stuff makes you so angry can I suggest you have a lie down and relax a bit fella..

Just received my third S6... this time a 920FD duos version for a really decent price. Nothing wrong with the other two I had but after jumping around loads of other devices, I missed the firm factor, screen, camera and split screen option amongst others.

s6 is such a great looking phone and I actually really like Samsung's version of Android (unpopular opinion). I find stock Android to just look flat and boring. Yes TouchWiz is like Marmite and it can impede the performance of he phone, but I liked it when I had a Galaxy Alpha last year.

Yep, I'm quite happy with it since the S6 makeover and Samsung hardware is usually difficult to pass on. Also it seems like most OEMs are going back to close-to-stock so there's not much differentiation between them now.

Hopefully Marshmallow TW is refined further.

completely agree, stock is dull.. what's wrong with a few bells and whistles.. TW for me flies on my edge plus.. coupled with industry leading screen and camera.. and the prettiest hardware ever created.. what's not to love...

Pretty much agree with everything said in the recent posts.

The s6 is such a great and well rounded smartphone. And I too love the extra touchwiz features. Heck, I even like the touchwiz aesthetics compared to stock. I find the colors fitting. Stock can look dull or too white by comparison. Touchwiz is color coded and makes everything easy to see and find. Touchwiz's settings menu, for example, is perfect.

Edit: marshmallow preview of touchwiz looks like they lose some of the color coding. Shame.

Does anyone know a way for the Samsung stock calendar to show the Facebook birthday events?

On my previous S5 and Note 4 I could see on the stock calendar the birthday events of all my Facebook contacts, but I just realized on my S6 this does not happen.

I tried on the calendar settings to add my Facebook account so it could sync but that's no option for it :confused:

Suggestions?

Anybody else unfortunately end up with the headphone bug? Regardless of player or headphones, my S6 will completely mute my phone. Never noticed the problem before because I was using my iPod classic, but that died. :(
