Don't really care what it does, the fact is if you buy an android phone it's more than likely that you will be using that version until you get a new phone. With exception of few expensive phones from big players.

I had to try android, i did, its a piece of ****.
I dont really care what you think about it, I think Android is great and the S6 is still great. Won't be long and it will have 6.0,
And I get app updates everyday.

completely agree, stock is dull.. what's wrong with a few bells and whistles.. TW for me flies on my edge plus.. coupled with industry leading screen and camera.. and the prettiest hardware ever created.. what's not to love...
Agree. I had the Nexus 5 and I like the extras that the S6 has. I use the split screen a lot. I missed those things from when I had the S3. Probably won't get another Nexus unless they add a few things.

Right ... well keep waiting. I know you are good at it. Christmas will come. Eventually.
I'm not anal and need to have the latest update the day it comes out. I've had four updates already and app updates almost everyday.
My S6 is working fine and I don't change phones like some here change their shirt.I'll have it a while so it will get 6.0 within a couple months. I'm good with that.
You don't like it, get an iPhone and wait a year to get their update.

I have noticed that the S6 is really well priced now.
£350 there about in most places. It seems like an absolute steal to me.

My mate has just upgraded to an S6 Edge + from iPhone and he absolutely loves it.

Part of me is so tempted by it for that price!
The Edge version price hasn't moved. I imagine it's the better seller but does anyone here who's tried both prefer the regular S6 over the Edge?

Just to gain some opinions as food for thought!

Yep is a bit of a bargain IMO. I rebought it after trying tons of larger and/or mid-range phones. £339 for the dual sim 920FD from eGlobal (no taxes).

Given what Qualcomm have served up this year and how the S6 series camera sits amongst the best, it's pretty appealing. Quite a few on here aren't fans of TW (fair enough) but I'd rather cope with the odd stutter given what else it delivers in software and hardware.

I just got a T-Mobile software update. Didn't catch what it was for and can't find any articles on it. Anybody know what's going on?

So after saying that I was interested in the S6, my sister (who has used an iPhone for years) text me this afternoon saying that she is getting a new work phone delivered tomorrow.
She works in digital for a bank (despite not being techy at all - always the way!) and she said 'she drew the short straw' and ended up having to have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus... Whilst everyone else got 6S's.

Me reaction. :O

I said it's fine, bring it home I'll sort it out for you no problem! ;)
Looks like I get to play with one without going into a store or buying!

Seriously, how many times is TouchWiz going to tell me about app optimization? There's a notification about it every couple of days. Whether the optimization is on or off.

Who's the idiot at Samsung that decided this was a good idea?

Agree...I HATE that notification! So just do it already and stop telling me about it. :)

The weird thing is it wasn't doing this before. It must've been during a recent update or something cause it's only started happening in the past few weeks.

It's stuff like this that drives me nuts about TouchWiz. Along with the airplane and volume warnings. It's stuff like this that'll drive me from Samsung. Just stupid and unnecessarily annoying.

(6P arrives tonight, too.)

Probably done by the same person who thought we needed the headphone volume warning, and the airplane mode warning.

Edit: Oh, you already commented about that. :p

You know on the warning screen there is a message saying don't warn me again. .. you are just pressing close the notification window..

I've never seen that option with the airplane mode warning, or high volume warning, or the app optimization reminder.

I wish there was that option. There should be.

I had a play with my mates Galaxy S3 Edge Plus today. What a device.
I was pretty blown away by it. Build quality, feel in hand, weight, size, etc erything just felt spot on.

The camera was very impressive. Seen some photos he had taken of his dog and took some shots in Starbucks whilst we were there and the quality was brilliant.

I also liked the notification light. Much bigger than most other Androids little pin dot light and more like Blackberry which is a great thing IMO. Colour me impressed!

People can say they want about touchwiz but Samsung software does in fact add real value and enhances many areas of the Android experience. Split screen being a great example.

Split screen, the spen, and the quick toggles in the notification panel are the ones I like the best. keyboard is decent too. The only thing I don't like about touchwiz at this point is that you take a performance hit, but the hardware is powerful enough that it can handle it well enough most of the time.
