Man, watching those videos are getting me more hyped about these phones. First Android phones in a while that's making me think of jumping from iOS.

I said I would never buy Samsung again after a subpar S3 and a mediocre experience with a Note 3.

I also hate TW and cant stand the resource management of Samsung phones but I will not lie, they are pretty sexy. :)

Still don't think it will make me jump from 6+ as I really love a stock android experience.

The amount of apps on each page is why I reckon I will always stick with nova
Btw there is a new Beta update for Nova Launcher, what is this??

I'm generally just excited to try TouchWiz, especially now that it's paired down supposedly.

Between Sense and TouchWiz, I actually don't know what the hype of Sense is. It may be lighter under the hood, but Sense otherwise looks just as tinkered with as TouchWiz. Top-down scrolling app drawer, the app switcher being tiles instead of the rolla-dex, etc. I think Sense menus also look pretty ugly.

Beautiful phones, but once you get past the beauty of the hardware, one still has to interact with TW and for me, that's sadly a deal breaker. But I'm glad those that enjoy TW now have some beautifully designed hardware to use it on.

So Displaymate has done its usual intensive testing, and the S6 screen is now the brightest phone at 784 nits. And it's also amazingly 20% more power efficient than the 1080P S5 screen. Color accuracy is equal to the Note 4.

At this point if you're a manufacturer that's selling a competitive device at the same price, there's no excuse to be not using a 2K AMOLED screen. Don't give me the excuse of 2K being overkill. Otherwise drop the price of your old tech lcd display with less resolution. Don't give me inferior hardware for the same price. Inexcusable.

I told you guys the gs6 was going to use new pixels and get at least 14% better power efficiency and they beat that and hit 20% better then the gs5!

Question! How do you do the Google now gesture (swiping up from home) on the galaxy s series? They have a physical button.

I genuinely am not sure which color S6 to choose. I hope the carriers will have all the colors available to witness.

I'm leaning toward white, but the gold and the blue look good too. Black is my last choice, but that looks really nice too.

Don't forget silver.. Though to me that makes the device too shiny.

It may be 20% more power efficient than a year old 1080p AMOLED display, but how does it compare to the latest 1080p IPS LCDs?

Genuinely curious. I see no reason for Apple to deviate from the current display in the 6+ as it is gorgeous and more than sufficient. Unless a meaningful gain in battery life/efficiency is seen by moving to AMOLED.

I'm sure they'll make the switch at some point. But given how tightly they control the efficiency of each part of the device, there must be some delta between their current IPS LCDs and the AMOLEDs in Samsung devices that causes pause.

To be honest the screen and resolution is the least thing I'm interested in since I can't see a difference between my Note 4 & iPhone 6+

Yes its better colour balance than my Moto X but resolution wise, again I can't see difference pixel wise.

I do think after 400 pixels ppi, the difference resolution and ppi makes starts to become the law of diminishing returns.
