Galaxy S6

Android since Kit kat is just as if not more stable then ios.I can't tell you how many times a Co workers 6plus crashed trying to play a video we recorded on his browser.we then tried uploading to Dropbox and even in his drop box app the phone would crash.

My Gs6 lost 0% this morning from going to bed.it was 50% and stayed 50% when I just turned it on.

For imessage just use normal sms text or hangouta/whatsapp. I see no problem because when you shut off imessage it will automatically go to sms.

For backup you can also do the same with the Samsung app and restore it back the way it was also.

I got offered a 3rd party warranty for 7.99 a month and 159 for a brand new phone if it breaks at best buy.

For me and my usage my S6e can easily last 28-30 hours before the next charge.

Weird?!? Reading comprehension is needed ;)

Wifi settings -> Advance -> keep Wifi on durring sleep-> only when plugged in. Wifi will always work, just when your phone goes to deep sleep at night or any other point when not in use/not charging, it'll automatically turn wifi off, the second you use the phone it'll reconnect. Who said anything about playing with your phone while its plugged in lol?!?!

If you don't use location or anything, then leave any of that off, I have it running always for weather on my custom beautiful widgets setup and other stuff. Bluetooth I turn on and off as needed as don't really use it.

Not sure what they really expect from the front design. Aside from putting speakers on the front, there seems little room when all the sensors and buttons are there. And symmetrical design looks far better IMO.

As for stale... other well-known manufacturers have kept a very similar design over the years ;)

TW is fine. Don't see how people still think it's that horrendous.

What is standard button design and layout? Does this extend to 'standards' for vol and power, too?

It's not flawless, and no device is, but it's pretty close IMO. Looks great. Feels great. Great one-handed. Awesome screen. SoC is a beast. Outstanding camera. Excellent fingerprint detection. Ticks the boxes for me.
 
I really like the fact they have moved the power button lower on the right side of the device so that its not directly opposite the volume buttons. On S4, S5, Note 3 & Note 4 often when I would grip the phone to change volume I would end up squeezing and press the power button by accident. That has stopped with the S6/S6Edge.
 
Someone on Reddit posted this mockup. When the theme SDK is released this month, it should make this possible. In my opinion, one of the ugliest things about TouchWiz is the green color of the notification pull down. Being able to change that will be nice.

My only remaining complaint with TouchWiz is the dialer. It isn't bad at all, but I wish I could download the stock KitKat dialer from the Play Store.

Yeah the only issue I've had with TW over the years is the look, same for iOS, they both just have this cartoony look like they gave an elementary school kid crayons and said design our OS lol. I run Dynamickat which is TW based and use the blue GPE theme, that's how TW should look, so much better and sharper looking.
 
Theming could be very good if that mockup is anything to go by.

Just looked at the Galaxy gifts expecting them to be a bit mediocre but am pleasantly surprised how decent they are.

Already an Office365 subscriber so the OneDrive 100gb wasn't needed but one free book per month on Kindle, 6-months Economist, 6-months LastPass, 3-months Audible, and 3-months Deezer are all going to be used.

Can't grumble at that lot.
 
Any else pre order a white 32gb Galaxy s6 from Amazon? I was so excited for my phone to arrive and I look April 10th and it says item is out of stock!!! Amazon said Samsung didn't supply them with any AT&T models...

Hopefully they get some in soon!

I've been using the Speck Candyshell grip. I ordered a Spigen Ultra Hybrid case, a Ringke Flex case, and a Vena wallet case, yesterday, all from eBay.

I am loving the edge so far. The phone is very fast and responsive. The battery is lasting 24 plus hours for me and my useage. the camera is simple awesome. The only drawback for me is the size. I am so used to my N4 and 6+. This might hold me over until the N5.

No one is worried about the battery pushing QHD, The battery on my S6 edge easily lasts the whole day and then some for me.

Is it possible to remove the "S Finer" and "Quick Connect" buttons from the pull down menu?

Does anybody know if the Verizon variant of the Galaxy S6/Edge is compatible with GSM networks, particulary on T-Mobile. I know that LTE may not work, but will HSPA+ work? I can't seem any confirmation on that. I have both T-mobile and Verizon as my carriers and I know i'm sticking with Verizon for two years, so I might buy it on a 2 year contract and transfer to T-Mobile if possible.

Thus far, I am not seeing the need for a battery case. Screen time is about 4hrs, and between topping off with the wireless charger, and quick charges with the cable, and ultra power saving mode, getting through a day of use has been no issue.

White 32gb. Though I am considering returning it and getting a white 64gb instead. Waiting a few days to evaluate my usage in terms of pics and music.

Thus far, it's an amazing device.
