Anyone using 'briefing'?

I really like they have made it quick and responsive but the lack of choice of sources and interests makes most of it's content its pulling up redundant to me. The news section doesn't even pull in news from here which is a big meme.

hold one of your screens... not your briefing screen, so that you can change your grid or home screen... and slide to your briefing screen... and then remove it.

then go in settings and disable it.

no one needs that crap

Yeah I already turned it off. I just think it's a shame they addressed its normally slow laggy behavior but failed to address the truly limited content which at the end of the day any RSS delivery app lives or dies upon.

is wifi calling turned on? i can't seem to find whether its turned on or not... i also went in the applications/all and i dont see wifi calling there either.

am i blind?

i just want to turn it off in case its on.

Another point some of you have mentioned do we need 577 ppi on this small screen - more Battery Life would be vastly better IMO.

I am someone who uses Phone as a Laptop so perhaps the S6 is a Consumer Device with smaller Battery - Fine.

So give me an S6 Pro with a 3100 Mah Battery for heavy use

Well put. I just sold my Note 4 fire size reasons. Loved everything about its functionality and battery life, but basically I just needed that in a Galaxy S-sized package. That would be the sweet spot. I think 1080p would be fine, even. Just hold that Galaxy S size and get us an extended battery life.

The Galaxy Alpha is also an own goal by Samsung. Basically, if they hadn't crippled it with small battery and lack of SD card, they probably would already had an iPhone killer on their hands a long time ago. And then they could have just released the Galaxy S in "Edge" version only, to put the nail in the coffin.

Wow, never seen this good of stand by time before on an android phone, dropped only 4% overnight!

Set your wifi to only stay on when plugged in (that way it turns off in sleep mode), I've done that with every Android. Makes a huge difference. And that way you don't forget about it, which I've done and sometimes gone days before realizing since even hspa+ here is fast only to get a notice at some point of reaching X % of data and we're on that large 10GB family plan lol. I always leave location on, but turn bluetooth on/off as needed.

some of you on these forums have weird suggestions man, one told me i wasted my money on this phone because i don't use camera yet had no clue how much i paid for it.

now you tell me to use wifi when it's plugged in... you mean when it charges? what the **** is the point of that? and no i don't have a 10gb data plan. i use wifi when i can. i hope you know it's bad to play with your phone while charging/plugged in. you kill the battery.

i just turn it off when i sleep, i always remember... i also never ever use location nor bluetooth.

but okie dokie

that's your opinion. the s6 outperforms the nexus 6 and htc m9.

the nexus 6 was simply 50$ off and the screen is bigger which i don't like, the m9 doesn't thrill me, i'm not an htc person. so what do you want me to do? get an older phone?

the s6 isn't just for camera buddy, that's like saying iphone is just for camera. how come iphone cameras are always regarded as awesome but a lot of people get iphone just for games or even just for calls? what about those who prefer iphone and pay a premium just because it looks good? don't forget those who get iphone because its simply not an android.

you're out of touch with reality. but nice try man, embrace the forums. it's a place for subjective arguments, the best kind of arguments.

here's an argument: why get a phone and not a better camera? would you pay 40-120$ a month just for a camera? or would you rather get a home phone and a 859$ camera? oh that's right, the logic is too much

Hate to spoil your party but the S6 does not outperform the Nexus 6. The former has way too much bloat and isn't nearly as efficient with memory management. And it probably will not get better battery life either with that size and it needing to push the screen resolution.

Maybe the camera but if you aren't going to use it anyway, ...

hate to spoil your party but in every benchmark the s6 has beaten the nexus 6. as for ram there is 1.5gb free, thats enough for games. you don't need to run 100 apps at once when you just want to play a game.

battery life is fine, fyi the samsung chip is battery efficient, the screen resolution doesn't matter.

maybe the 6 inch display but if you aren't going to be gaming anyway...

( i love forums so much )

No problem, I'll just put you in my disregard list. Another spec whore and benchmark analyst.

Nice try justifying a purchase! LOL!

says the apple user... i bet your osx out performs my windows as well.

nice justifying a purchase! LOL!

no problem, i'll just troll you as much.

An apple user with a Nexus 6, so I cross platforms.

Wake up, troll! :)

Have fun with your S6. Bye bye!

Gotta love forums.

i thought i was disregarded? i cross platforms as well. windows and android.

oh lookie me. i think hes a spec whore, so for my gaming computer i'm going to get myself a macbook, after all it has better battery :apple:

ya i'm not overreacting, just posting honesty...haven't touched android since 2012.

i'm impressed by this phone, but i'm also being honest about it.

You don't need to turn off Bluetooth. It is very efficient now a days and hardly uses any power. If you don't believe that then you should look it up. Location and Wi-Fi I'd agree but not Bluetooth, though I leave them all on.

The only things going for Nexus 6 are 6", direct Google updates and ergonomics otherwise the hardware is junk. I wanted one at one time until I tried a working demo that changed my mind.

ya uh in regards to bluetooth, from what you guys listed.

i don't drive, i use wired headphones and im not sure what moto 360 is... if its a watch im not interested *googles it* yup thought so.

not useful for me however.

i think you can use bluetooth to share files from pc to phone and vice versa, so thats kind of useful.
