What I'm reading sounds almost too good to be true.

Wouldn't say no to SD card slot, water resistance, a bigger battery, lighter TW, and an even better camera (given how good this year's was...well IMX at least).

Smaller camera bump and 3D touch would be a bonus.

Feel like somethings gotta disappoint somehow.phttp://
Probably the processor or the battery.

As long as I can use my current cases with it and it has a micro SD slot, I'm good.

A bonus for me would be if it came in a purple color option.
I'm not sure that your cases will fit the S7. Samsung have always changed their design with every generation of the S and note series and old cases no longer fit.

Well up until recently the rumors have been saying it's the same design. And honestly if Samsung just removed their logo from the top bezel they'll be able to squeeze in some more screen. And they could take a little bit off the bottom too.

Does a USB Type C slot make a difference to anyone? After using a Type C on the Nexus line, not much of a huge difference to me.

The new Galaxies are the best camera phones I have seen and are extremely impressive, improved camera and all other improvements are making the s7 look absolutely stellar if it all is true

Along with USB c, I hope wireless charging gets better/faster too.
[doublepost=1452090684][/doublepost]The most important rumor is still the software. I hope the Google and Samsung partnership to optimize touch wiz is true. There hasn't been much since that initial leak about it.

The camera (and camera experience, which I think is just as important) and the screen have kept the s6 in the lead in my opinion. I can't seem to get away from it for too long no matter what new phone I try. And they're both so good that they make up for any little negatives about the phone.

You know, there was once a time when the iPhone had the best camera and screen, and that experience too kept the iPhone in the lead. It made up for any shortcomings it had.

The same thing is happening with the s6.

The s7 is gonna be crazy if all these things turn out to be true. Another leading class device.

I'm willing to bet if the gs7 has micro SD card its for the snapdragon version as its memory controller is eMMC 5.1 compatible and Samsung can use regular flash sdcards.

Ufs storage memory system is not compatible with SD cards endless they come out with there own ufs SD cards to buy.

It's a completly different memory controller and technology on the systems and I don't know anyway you can combine both without using 2 controllers

They released a Note 5 variant in Korea already that had exynos and microSD card support.

I still don't see how it makes any logical sense to offer the normal and edge variants in different sizes. Jut offer them in one size or the other, damn it! I don't mind them offering 2 sizes, just treat them equally.

I agree. Inconsistency will just cause confusion for customers.

I don't like the small edge. I think the edge option works much better on the plus (I can see you have one as well).

I would advise gear vr fans to wait until fall before purchasing a new device. The note 6 should have 4K which will be much better for gear VR fans. .

Agreed, although 4K might not be enough. The Gear VR experience at the moment is pixelated and has a restricted field of vision. In order to get both to a manageable level, the displays have to be about 8K. I made a post earlier about how 8K, if there is a GPU that can handle that much, would be optimum for downsampling purposes.
But don't get me wrong, 4K would make a huge difference in VR, regardless of whether they use it to improve clarity or field of vision.

People complaining here about the drop in MP are making me laugh because those don't have a clue what they are talking about. I welcome a better sensor and lens over MP any day. There is a reason why SLR cameras with much Lower MP take much much better shots than cameras with high mp but crappy lens and sensors. MP is overrated and you always want to look at the lens and sensor for the best pictures.

Slight misnomer, there is a balance. Whilst mega pixels are not everything, if you have the same excellent lowlight sensor on two devices. One with 12mp and the other with 20mp - the 20mp will still have the advantage especially in cropping and amount of detail it captures.

Assuming the same sensor size, the 12MP camera will always have the advantage in terms of light. And picture detail has more to do with light than pixels. I wouldn't take a higher resolution photo, even when zoomed or cropped, over one that's more consistent and accurate.
