I think I need therapy
I currently have the S7 Edge and Nexus 6P in the house. My plan was to sell the 6P, but the more I used the Edge the more I feel the need to go back to the 6P. I think I just prefer the size of the Nexus and that fact it's just had the N preview adds to the temptation.
As someone mentioned above I also keep accidentally hitting the capacitive buttons and finding it hard hold it when watching videos etc.
The VR is cool though.. Showed it to a few of the guys in the office today and they were blown away with it.
Would love to keep both but that's not an option. Decisions decisions.
a bird in the hand.......Ugh. So Tmobile stores do have S7 Edge in stock and all the bonuses still count but...
I have to put $60 down (where as preorder was 0) and I only have 14 days (preorder was 20 days) and, the worst part, there's a $50 restocking fee even within the 14 day window (whereas the preorder was zero restocking fee, and free return shipping).
Now the question is... am I most likely going to keep the device? Probably. At worse, I'd use one of my Jump on Demands to go with the S7 regular instead.
And the $60 dollars down means the monthly lease payments are slightly cheaper. Literally like 1.50 cheaper. So over the course of 24 months, it'll end up being the same. HOWEVER, the whole point of JOD is to change phones, so I won't really benefit from the cheaper 1.50 monthly lease thing? And I would be out 60 bucks.
HOWEVER AGAIN... I also have to factor in the free Gear VR and Netflix, which are about a $250-ish dollar value. And getting the phone today would help me secure those bonuses quicker.
Thoughts? The store seemed to have plenty of stock so I could always go back.
Do I just wait out for my backordered pre-order to ship, or do I just go back and walk out with one from the store and cancel the preorder?
EDIT:
Wow, just got a status update on my preorder, it won't ship until 3/17!!
Okay, I think that seals it. I'm going back to the store and canceling the pre order. Ugh, I lose 60 bucks, but gain Gear VR and Netflix, and a slightly cheaper monthly lease payment which I'll very slowly gain back the 60. I guess that's worth it.
Gonna head back to the store in a sec.

I am on the fence tbh.... I love the S7 edge for all it has to offer. I have big hands and the S7 just feels small and cramped in my hands. Now when I hold the 6s+ or N4 or 6P.... they just feel better in my hand and are easier to use for me anyway.
I think I'm convinced on the software more than the device. Don't get me wrong, it's nice and it does have some flaws but, Marshmallow just is sweet!I know what you mean. I was watching a netflix episode in bed and I kept accidentally touching the edges and stopping playback, so I tried putting down / propped up - but because of the curved edges it just rolled over. Never had such an awkward moments with a device in a while. There actually may be some benefits to a little more space and even bezels practicality wise. The Edge looks amazing, feels amazing, but both my 6P, X Force and 6S+ feel more practical, easier to hold - utilise without 'minding' what I do.
I'll be holding onto mine for a while regardless, but with Android N preview now on the 6P I am having trouble deciding which of the force or 6p to keep. I think I'll keep the force as it feels more resilient, plus is dual sim and micro SD - plus I think I'd get more back for the 6P than the X Force.
In this forum they would need a bus to cart us all off.If you think you need therapy, I can start jotting down what I have bought recently and what is in my drawer besides.
Sooner or later, the wagon will pull up to the house and cart me away.
@MRU, between the 6P and Force, which has the better camera?

I followed the instructions to change DPI but keep getting an internal error. I rebooted pc and the Edge, still cannot get the command to work.
Have you had the screen pop up on your edge that says allow this device to connect via USB debugging ? It only worked for me once that screen appeared on the device and I said yes. After that it worked straight away.
Success! Like you said, this is what the setting should have been in the first place.
Question for those who have used the theater to watch movies with the Gear VR, does it give a legit sense of scale like you are looking at a big screen?
Ha, your just as crazy as the rest of us when it comes to new phone fever.I just realized I could get the s7 for zero down. Then jump to the edge in two weeks. Save 60 dollars and still get the promos.
That's what I'm doing. So I'll have a s7 in hand soon.
I don't mind using one if my jumps if I want to go to the edge. Funny how this all turned out.
