a better place
Never used either phone, but knowing Apple and Samsung, I'd say Apple has the superior standby time. Is that right?

Yes. Doze is great but Apple still by far has the best standby time. I lose between 5 & 10% battery on standby in 12 hours on Android. On iOS that's down to 1-2% ... That's with a sim and wifi on.

Question for those with the edge.

How well does the Swype keyboard work? Does the keyboard go all over to the edges? How comfortable is it to Swype from the edges?

I mean, I've never tried the Swype keyboard on the edge, and it's one of my main concerns about this phone. The Swype keyboard is the most important thing for me on a smartphone. I need to be able to type comfortably and fast, and maybe the edges make the Swype experience harder or more annoying.
I've never had an issue swiping on the s7 edge but I do use a case

I got my back cover off and I powered it on, the camera is clear but I noticed it is not doing auto focus. Could this be because the lens covers are not on? Seems unlikely but if I need to replace my camera now is the time

Depends on your preference ultimately. The screen and camera are amazing but I've now purchased and returned my S7e twice and gone back to my 6s plus for iMessage, FaceTime...can't get people on alternative chat apps at this point especially group texts with coworkers, etc. and just personal software preference. Still a wonderful device.

Yeah the group messaging issue is a major problem. I've found using Facebook video almost as easy and good as FaceTime.

Loving the low light ability of the this camera. Relaxing by the pool.....

I bought the past two large Plus Iphones and dumped them pretty quickly because of their size. I will not, I repeat, I will not do it again if the large bezels remain.

Looking at the leaks it doesn't look to promising, I'm in the same position as you. Seeing what Samsung have done with the s7 edge screen and battery makes a big difference.

The 6s with a good battery would've done me nicely but can't see that happening anytime soon

Imagine if Apple fit a 3600mAh battery in the 6s Plus. The battery life would be unreal and it would easily be a 2-3 days if heavy usage per charge device.

Sure but the 6s+ isn't the problem, battery-wise. The standard model is in need of a battery performance improvement.

I never had to worry about the 6s plus running out of juice, the 6 on the other hand was very poor

The s7 battery is pretty good, I have had mine off the charger for 10h15m and I am at 41% with 3h 21m sot. I dont have any facebook/intsagram/social media accounts so that helps but I do use Cloud Magic email and it has 3 gmail and one Outlook account. I also use Google Voice for craigslist dealings. Android system is the number one user at 23% and Chrome 2 at 19%

As far as my camera issue with focusing issues, I juts found one out of an S7 for 17 bucks off ebay. They claim it was pull from a few days old S7, it must have been trashed and they are piecing it out. I watched a youtube video and it looks pretty easy to change. Every since the drop my pics just do not look near as good as they should, I will post some pics in minute. The focus issue plus they are hazy looking, just doesnt seem right and indoor shots are bad. I tried the front camera inside compared to the rear and the front did better
[doublepost=1464388440][/doublepost]These looks way off and horrible, I had to have damaged my camera in the drop

Those who use their edge without a case you had any issues with grip at all? Tempted in trying it myself. Feel the design is too beautiful not to have it naked
