I happened to place an order for a S7 Edge at the right time when they happened to have a few phones in stock Wednesday. I'm supposed to have it Friday and that was the date given on checkout on the T-Mobile site.

I don't know how I managed to get mine shipped when people are still waiting who ordered days before I did.

I think I'll give one of these a shot. I like dry-apply screen protectors. The irony cause the S7E is waterproof. Heh.

If i'm gonna get a wet-install one, I'll go with XtremeGuard once they get their S7E protectors.
Be warned that these
Samsung Promotions are open, so go fill out your promos. You need your IMEI, Wi-Fi Mac Address, and receipt. 25k Netflix codes only. Idk how many VRs.
I submitted mine. Great thing about Netflix codes is that they compound on top of each other. With this code I'll now have over 2 years of free Netflix.

Samsung also had another promo on free Qi chargers when you activate Samsung pay. Just go into the app, see the promo and copy the coupon code. Follow the Samsung store link and buy a Qi charger for free.

Love Samsung

Thanks. Got my Qi Charge a bit back too. So that makes two VR headsets, two years of Netflix, and two Qi Chargers for myself and my father. I hope he enjoys his S7 Edge too since he won't get his 6S Plus w/ JOD.
[doublepost=1457068521][/doublepost]Funny story. Samsung Pay wouldn't install for me initially. I called Samsung using Samsung+. They said I would either have to wipe the cache or replace the device through T-Mobile. When they asked what phone it was, I said "GS7 Edge." They were like "is T-Mobile your carrier? You're my fourth customer with a S7E and all had T-Mobile." Luckily, the wipe cache worked so I don't have to go through another phone release replacing my device at the start. I had to do that w/ my 6S Plus due to an iCloud issue.

Hey guys, new to Samsung and Andriod phones in general. I was really interested in the S7 and went to a Verizon store to check it out. Overall I really like the design of the phone. The screen looks amazing and the camera is simply superb. HOWEVER, when I load some sites in Chrome, the phone stutters so much! Especially when scrolling through content. I mean really? A 2016 flagship phone with all that 820 power. Im not sure if it is this special phone or all Samsung devices do that. So guys what's your experience? Have you experienced any lag or stutters in the first few days?

Its probably sites that have pop up ads. Its seems the pop ups cripples a Samsung phone. Why do these tech and gagdet websites have the worse websites ever?

Yes my Edge plus stutters alot too. Very annoying and seems like a Samsung thing as my lower spec Sony devices manage such sites without any slow down.

Please keep in mind as we have said over and over again here in these forums, that display devices in carrier stores have demo software running that takes a lot of resources and will hijack the browser.
I don't have that issue on my S7E in Chrome. Please keep in mind also that some sites might be blocked and due to security on the phone or wireless network in the carrier stores that some sites will load slowly or not at all.
Alos connectivity depends on the cell reception and wireless network at the time. Hope this helps.....

Thanks for clearing that up. It was loading theverge.com. I wasn't paying attention of the loading speed but more on the responsiveness of the UI. But yea it's most likely the demo software taking a lot of processing power. I really hope Samsung got Touchwiz right this time because the hardware is just outstanding.

I just went to the Verge on my S7e and not trouble at all...smooth scrolling through that site. No issues.
TW on the S7 is the lightest and fastest i have seen on a Samsung phone. :)

Same here. No problems.

Chrome bets didn't seem to like some websites, but chrome works fine. I am actually trying out the Samsung browser for the first time...I usually just ignore it. But since I got a tab s2, and there is a chrome extensions for syncing...thought I would try it.

You can merge the individual tabs with the apps on the multitasking menu, but I don't really care either way. The Samsung browser seems really stable and fast (not that chrome isn't). I just hope the developer for adblock fast updates his app to work with Samsung devices. It's the whole reason I am trying out the samsung browser.

I might to give it a second look now that you mention it. It prompted me to enable using my fingerprints as authentication for websites. I might try it out!

It works real well, the finger print log in for websites.

The merge tabs vs unmergrd tabs experience has its plus and minuses. I can go either way.

If the adblock fast app gets fixed, I'll most likely stick with the Samsung browser, unless chrome gets some fancy new feature. Mobile ads are killer, and this should put the Samsung browser on par with iOS content block.

There are other browsers or course, but I have been too lazy to mess with them. I need them to sync with chrome, and Samsung's does very well.

I will use my 64gb iPhone 6S Plus. It's funny, this happened to me last year, was tired of carrying around both my 6 plus and note 4, so I gave the S6 a try. It was a fantastic phone, but I missed the Note too much and switched back after 2 months I think. Originally I had the Note 5 with a regular 6S, which was fine until I got my hands on my current 6S Plus, and that has been great, but again I'm getting tired of carrying two large phones around. Hopefully the 5.5" display on the S7 Edge will satisfy me till fall then I can reassess with the iPhone 7/7 Plus/Pro and the Note 6.

I always get sucked back into the Note series, although I usually do an iPhone detour. If the S7 is this nice can you imagine what they will do with the Note series? I don't even want much, just give it removable memory, and up the screen size to 5.9 without changing the dimensions, maybe with an edge display, maybe a hair thinner.

S7 Edge v Note 4.

You will see how much extra screen estate you get/is viewable on the Note 5 compared to the S7 Edge in apps and browser down to the DPI scaling. Some times quite a a lot extra, sometimes not so much - so the difference will vary.

The S7 edge however multitasks a lot better than the Note 5 ...

However not quite as good at multitasking as the iPhone 6S still ... But hey ho - it's still an improvement over the S6 / Edge / Edge + / Note 5 .... And if you don't play games like me on your mobile - you should be able to get a lot more in memory before refreshing anyway.

Other reports are finding possibly the same old issues with RAM management is the S7 Edge compared to other Android devices. Your point taken though it might be directly related to games.

I didn't watch the whole iPhone vs Galaxy speed test video. I am sure the iPhone multitask better, since Galaxy phones are more aggressive at RAM management, though I don't see this (with the improved s7 series) really affecting the day to day use of this phone.

I did watch enough to see that you can't really take that guy's video serious. Both phones need to be fresh off a factory reset. Some of his iPhone apps opened to where he was last using them, while several Android apps appeared to open for the first time, such as temple run. It's not even clear if he cloaed all background apps.

Overall, I don't really care. Phones are plenty fast today, even low end Moto G exhibit a fluid and fast experience. I just don't like experiments/demonstrations done incorrectly and not controlled for variables. I guess it's the scientist in me.

I guess I could theoretically do this test with my wife's phone, but I don't she would let me do a factory reset, etc.
