I don't know how BOB will turn out, but I did read one major spoiler about the episode...
Yara and Theon will reach Meereen.

Don't think so. The synopsis is so short, and this is such a huge battle, I have the feeling the whole episode will be about the battle, kind of like Season 4 Episode 9 on the Wall.

EDIT: And also on Season 2 Episode 9 they also did that for the battle of the Blackwater I think. Pretty sure there's some sort of pattern.

From last Sunday, I am no one. Ok, no fake Ayra. This was one of my many theories, a test. :D I don't know about you guys, but the Temple of the Many Faced God, I have to question their scruples if they are assassins for hire. Is there something I'm missing there?

Lord Berric, the guy who is ressurected after each duel he loses, I don't remember from the book which major character he interacted with. Could someone refresh my memory? Was it Ayra or Bran? I did not think it was the Hound.

That was some of the best battle scenes ever. Right up there with LOTR and 300, and this is just a TV show.

Looking forward to more next week.

The good guys finally won one tonight. That hasn't happened in a looooooong time. This show is definitely becoming a mainstream tv series now. Good guys win, bag guys get eaten by dogs. You know, typical plots... :/
So one time something good happens (at a fairly high price too) after many times when it hasn't, means it all jumped the shark to just predicable boredom? I guess if it's somehow just bad things always happening then wouldn't be predicable boredom when it just keeps on happening all the time? Let's hope that was all just sarcasm.

That was a fantastic episode. Amazing battle sequences all-around.

Despite their losses, I'm glad the Snow/Starks are finally seeing a glimmer of light ahead.

Although, I'll admit, I cringed when I saw
Sansa show up next to Petyr Baelish. It's a good thing she did for Jon's sake, but they've just replaced one evil with a different kind of sinister...

Also, while I do love seeing Dany's dragons in action, I feel like she's relying a little too much on them for winning battles and intimidating opposition (like her kingmakers of sort). But the playful flirting between her and Yara was unexpectedly humorous.

Agree that this was a fantastic episode. Some GoT faithful are complaining that Sansa could have saved lives by telling Jon about the Knights of the Vale coming to save the day, but unless she received a return raven from Littlefinger she wouldn't have known if or when they were going to appear.

Yes, much better than the "tell a joke" scene last week.

But the dragons are what she's always used to gain the advantage. If you go back to when she was taking over cities, the dragons always had an impact whether it was striking fear by just being mentioned (she is the Mother of Dragons after all) or just flat out torching people. Daenerys' plan will always be "surrender now or become food for my dragons".

Even if she received confirmation I don't think she would have told Jon. Sansa played it 100% correctly. The conversation with Jon told us what was needed to know if anyone was still in the dark about anything. Everyone/Jon was thinking inside the box even when he was told repeatedly by Sansa that he couldn't beat Ramsay without being a bit creative - the old saying, you only get close if he allows you to get close. Sansa knew that even if the Vale army was there at the beginning, they could still potentially lose because Ramsay would likely have some sort of plan, which is accurate for his character. Instead, she out thought everyone on the battlefield and let Ramsay's arrogance be his own downfall.

Yeah, we're all sitting here saying it's so predictable that someone would swoop in at the end and save Jon and his army but the way it was done and who it was done by made sense. The only way you beat Ramsay is if you beat him at his own game which Sansa did, which she hinted earlier in the episode.

Too easy. The Starks and the Targaryens likely have bad blood. If it's that easy, that will be disappointing.

Whether or not Sansa aligns with Daenerys, who knows but I don't think there's going to be any sort of conflict, if at all. I haven't read the books so I don't know if there's any sort of storyline between the two but going off the show, With Tyrion as an advisor to Daenerys, I doubt any conflict would get big enough where they get close to trading blows. Tyrion wouldn't allow it and I think Sansa would consider anything Tyrion says because he did do his best to protect her.

Besides, at this point, I don't think Sansa is really interested in the Iron Throne. Forget that the main focal point is now the White Walkers, the only family or people who really care about it are Daenerys and the Lannisters. Everyone else just wants to reclaim their respective house's (and their land) and live.

Now...what to do with those who betrayed the Starks...

And with Littlefinger...what will he exact as payment?

He will surely ask/force Sansa to marry him and become Warden of the North.

What an episode though!!

They killed Rickon, the whole battle was to rescue him and Winterfell, that was a bittersweet victory. Definitely not your typical plot.

True. However he could've zigzagged a little bit at least...

He could but Rickon was dead no matter what. You have to assume that if he did run in a zig-zag pattern and Ramsay thought he wouldn't be able to shoot him, he would ask his archers to just rain arrows at Rickon which would be as a gruesome death, if not more. There's no point in hypothesizing, Rickon was dead no matter what and Sansa knew this and even mentioned this to Jon.

Yeah I agree. There was no way that Rickon could've survived the episode.

If there's one question I would ask, it would be why Wun Wun isn't/doesn't wield a large ass weapon. While the outlook/outcome would have been the same (from the perspective of Jon and his army), Wun Wun with a large ass club or axe would do some serious damage and at least make it a lot more interesting.

I would have really loved this episode. Amazing battle, and I knew that it was going to result in victory for the Starks, since Aidan Gillen was in the opening titles, and those backstabbing ****ers Ramsay and Smalljon paid their prices. But Rickon's death ruined it for me. I guess I'm a fool not to have seen it coming, but it was heartbreaking. RIP Rickon Stark. And also RIP Wun Wun, died like a hero.

So who's going to rule Winterfell, Jon or Sansa? I would love to see Jon legitimised, but Tommen would need convincing. I guess Sansa could make peace with Tommen, I mean he's not Joffrey...
