The Misty Mountains
Just started GoT (never read the books) on Sunday and I just finished up the second to last episode for season three.

I must say, ever since I got my first dog, seeing the direwolves killed is extremely difficult for me. I know its fiction and maybe Im getting squeamish because im a sensy (Scrubs should out!) but the two scenes that truly had me feeling ill was when Ned Stark had to kill his daughters direwolf and the second was when they killed Rob's direwolf.

Needless to say, Im taking a break from the show after that episode (which was pretty bloody and left a strong impression). You could imagine my surprise when my friend told me that they cut robs head off and had the wolf's head sewed on in place of robs. I honestly thought he was pulling my leg before I google'd it and saw that was true.

I know no animals were hurt while filming but still. It made me sad to see those two animals killed :(

There are only a couple of wolves left, Jon's and Bran's so it can't happen too many more times. ;) Personally I am disappointed, I wanted these things to be impervious super mascots but they are merely mortal (if that term can be applied to an animal).

Actually not sure about Ayra's, or have forgotten. If it ran off, maybe it will come back?

Calm down. I totally forgot about Rickon.... can't confirm it's status. What's sad is I can't remember the last episode I saw him in. :)

This applies to the show (wiki):
He is now travelling with the wildling, Osha after being separated from his brother, Bran, Hodor, Meera and Jojen Reed.

Haha thats a relief!

Might finish up season three tonight and start four tomorrow.

All this cramming has made everything into one continuous movie instead of allowing me to really appreciate episode to episode.

Me, too! I totally forgot about Rickon, I thought there was only Jon, Bran and Sansa left from Winterfell. Also forgot about the wilding he was with, Osha. I wonder why they haven't shown them in this season, or at least not yet. I forgot what their last scene was, so maybe it can point to why they are missing in action.

I LOVE binging on TV episodes; no wait time for the next episode. Yeah, it can seem like just a long movie but for me, I never thought that I didn't appreciate each episode.

I really enjoyed tonight's ep. Looks like Stanis just got bankrolled. Who will fight for the imp's freedom? Kept thinking something really bad was about to happen to Reek when he got in that bathtub.

This is pretty crazy, my roommate said Tyrion would want a trial by combat last week. It puts Tywin in a predicament since if Tyrion chooses Jaime to fight for him, Tywin is forced to choose someone weaker, otherwise both his sons will die and the Lannister name will die off.

I thought that too, Jaime fighting for Tyrion, but see a couple posts above. It seems like Oberyn will or maybe what if Tyrion choose Jaime and Oberyn fights for the crown? Eh, who knows.

Rickon isn't dead he is in hiding and training. I have read the books and can confirm he isn't dead. Also the stuff Shae says about Tyrion is much much funnier in the books. In the books Rickon is like 5 years old. He might be the only Stark left at the end and the King as there are 2 more books to go and Starks are dropping like flies. Jon Snow is defiantly not a Stark ! A show makes that more than obvious and the book alludes to Ned being more of a boy scout then Superman + Captain America combined. Dude would never cheat on his wife even if she was his older brothers sloppy 2nds. Jon is Lyannas son (Neds sisters) with either King Robert or Rhaegar(Daenerys' older brother that started Robs Rebellion)

As for Who is in the trail by combat it will surprise many but in the books it was probably one of the coolest fights. Actually I read someone ruined who is in the fight. Jaime doesn't champion his brother nor does he fight against him sadly tho I don't think Jamie with 1 hand would be able to beat Cersei Champion.

I love Bron but dude is much too smart and Tyrion likes him and Podrick too much to let them die.

Great scene between Oberyn and Tyrion. Oberyn is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters.

I hope the kid goes next.

He is spoiled with a mother induced breast fetish. Some discipline might do him some good versus learning to fly, although he does seem to have fondness for sending others on their way. ;)

Great scene between Oberyn and Tyrion. Oberyn is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters.

He appears to have integrity and an agenda, so it's hard to say at this point if his motives are justice, advantage, one or the other, or both. I assume that volunteering to be Tyrion's champion will put him in ill stead with the Lannisters.

This link indicates there are 3 more episodes left for this season.

He's definitely smart.

I found the scene between Prince Oberyn and Tyrion, where he describes going to see the freak as sad and powerful. And The Hound is becoming a very sympathetic character as well.

Ever since the Hound left the blackwater, I felt like there is a lot more to his character. I can't wait these two weeks so I'm reading the books.
