help!

OK so i have tried, in my book, all possible ways to change my mail icons and nothing has worked! changed the name in the com.apple.mobilemail folder to icon@2x~iphone.png and even tried the capital I coz i read somewhere here that mail is I haha. I even went to the applications folder itself to change the png icon there, removed all the stock icons and changed it to glasklart and u know now what's coming up? the non-hd mail icon. now where is this thing getting that icon from? what am i doing wrong or what am i not doing at all? I'm wasting too much time just for this icon. haha

Also, i have been attempting to change my folders to transparent ones, but to no avail. I tried that guy's method in the first page and copied his files (thanks by the way) but it didn't work.

And lastly, how do you make newsstand glasklart as well? i have the icons but i dunno where to put it and what to name it.. is it under icons? or under folders?

Would gladly appreciate any help!

My advice for anyone that is having this or a similar problem is to download the most recent bundle for Glasklart. It is linked a few times on this thread. That is what I did and the majority of my icons are themed now. The mail and newsstand icon should be themed for you using the newer bundle.

mail fail

If the icon is still missing after removing the theme then it's not a theme problem

Try respringing with SBsettings.

To change the folder icons

go to /private/var/stash/Themes/Glasklart HD Folders/Bundles/com.apple.springboard

and paste this icon using the name

FolderIconBG@2x~iphone.png.

Disable theme and then enable before respringing.

i read the whole thread again, apparently i missed this part haha, but that disabling enabling thing worked for me!!! thanks a lot. I still have the mail icon problem though.

If i download the new bundle do i have to remove the old one or will it automatically overwrite?

I would remove all the existing glasklart folders.

I'm so sorry in advance if this is a really silly question (I'm very new to jailbreaking!).

I have just put Glasklart HD on my iPhone, i downloaded it from the cydia store. As mentioned, many of the icons don't match this theme. How would i go about changing them? Can someone give me a step-by-step tutorial (or just link me to one)?

Thank you so much!

What was your problem? White icon or still colored?

Did you try restarting your phone after changing the to the capital I? In the folder com.apple.mobilemail you should rename to: "Icon@2x.png"
This is 100% accurate, I just did it the other day. For the music, same thing, only lowercase i ("icon@2x.png"). My music took a couple of resprings to finally work. And of course quotations and parentheses are for the purpose of this message only, and should not be included in your file names.

On another note, I still haven't been able to get the icon for newsstand nor reminders to work. Any ideas?

Definitely passable.

Why does it have a black background? Did you forget to rename the mask file mentioned at the very first post on this thread?

----------

Reminders icon

Newstand needs to be moved inside the com.apple.springboard of your /Themes/bundles folder.

Try creating both files. I forgot which one was the real one.

NewsstandIconBackground@2x~iphone.png
NewsstandIconBackground@2x.png

And the reminders will be inside com.apple.reminders
make sure the name is icon@2x.png.

Don't forget to disable the Glasklart Theme and enable before respringing.

How do you install this?

Download and then unrar to somewhere on your computer. Afterwards, transfer all the folders into the var/stash/Themes.xXxXxxX (where the X's are some random combination of letters). You can use either SSH via Winscp or via USB through some program like iFunBox or DiskAid to transfer everything.

Then go to Winterboard on your phone and select which of those Glasklart options you want to activate, you don't have to select all of them. Respring your phone and everything should be themed. Respring again if you see some blank white icons.

Hope that helps.

This happens when the mask file gets renamed. Some icons remain the same whereas others have a border around them.

The borders around is expected on non-converted icons but all the Glasklart icons should have looked transparent. That's a weird behavior. Not sure if you have other themes that are interfering.

SOmeone mentioned there's a new package now you with all the other icons like mail, music, videos, reminders and newsstand. You should try to look into it. I didn't download it though coz i was close to getting all my icons done anyways, so here's what i did:

created a new folder since it was not included in the package that says "com.apple.reminders" and then pasted that image under it under the name icon2x.png (if that doesnt work, try adding ~iphone)

For newsstand, i used these icons. You need 2 icons, a blank one and the newsstand one, paste them under folder com.apple.springboard in glasklart hd folders theme

with file name: NewsstandIconBackground@2x~iphone.png
NewsstandIconBackground2xiphone-ALT.png
or
NewsstandIconBackground@2x~iphone.png

and: NewsstandIconBackground@2x~iphone.png
(this is the blank one)
th_NewsstandIconBorder2xiphone.png

Once youre done, go to your winterboard and disable then enable glaskart hd icons and glasklart hd folders then respring!

This thread had been so helpful! Learned so much from each every one who contributed in this thread. Thanks!

Hi,

I have installed the Glasklart HD theme on my jailbroken iPhone, and have made icons for all the apps that did not change over automatically.

I have SSH'd these into the phone and they all work fine.

However my problem is that I cannot find where to SSH in images for jailbroken apps. They do not appear to be in the same folder as the standard App Store apps.

If anyone can help I'll be eternally grateful!

Could someone create a glasklart icon for this app please. For iPhone 4 if it matters, and if the corners could be made round (like an ordinary app) it would be ever so kind of you.

Thanks

Can I transfer this with iFile?

Just to clarify exactly what I mean. after applying the theme through Winterboard, 5 of my Jailbroken app icons were not automatically updated.

These are Call Log, Pro Tube, xBackup, Color Mail Labels and SNES AD+

I have since made suitable icons for them.

With normal app store apps, I can get the bundle names using AppInfo and create a folder containing the icon in the Themes folder.

However, I cannot work out what the bundle names should be for Jailbroken apps.

Any idea?

download Appinfo and go to the Springboard area. The app location ids and icon names are there
