Does anyone know if you can pick up later if you can’t make it to the early reservation? I might be working out of town that guy and won’t be back until the afternoon.
Yes, and I think apple store staff will let you fast track if you hold a pickup window earlier than when you show up.

Yep, you're all good. And the employees probably love late instead of early: so much easier to say 'we still have your phone' than 'hold on let me see if I can give it to you early.'

Probably safe to trust. I don't remember reading/hearing about someone saying I had launch day pick up but it never said 'ready for pick-up'. It might have happened. Even lots. But I've never read/heard, so...think you'll be good.

Thanks! You too!

Excited to share the new fun with everybody--whether you're coming from a 13-something or a 6s that no longer get iOS updates, whether you need it or want it, whether you're convinced or not sure, for whatever reason that you're getting a phone, I hope you absolutely find some joy in it.

I called an Apple support rep yesterday and he claimed that I can go pick it up whenever as long as the order said "Ready for Pickup." I verified again that as long as my order is ready for pick up, I can go get it even if it is well before my window and he said "yes." I don't think I'll try it because I have my doubts but it is interesting he said that.
I ran into this a couple years back when I had to leave town unexpectedly for a family death. The people who run the appointments are usually pretty cool and will put you behind the people that have that current time slot.

Anyone else going to be transferring from a physical SIM card tomorrow to an eSIM on their iPhone 14? I'm debating seeing if I can get eSIM set up today on my 13 Pro so that it's a little less to deal with at the Apple Store tomorrow...

Strongly recommend your latter idea. @Shadowbech can vouche for me when I say there can be some surprising difficulties changing physical sim to e-sim. I spent hours with Verizon to get it right. Glad I at least did that before I got the new phone.

Shouldn't be an issue at all since you are doing iPhone to iPhone. I am coming from Android and it is required to call in the carrier to provide you a QR code for eSim. I based this on the Apple guide transferring physical sim to eSim.

Still contend, if it’s possible for you, use some of that excitement you have for getting a new phone and change to e-sim before you get the new phone.

(I, too, thought it would be so quick and easy. But unexpected issues came up. Took hours.)

Um yea. We had that issue before but glad that you got it resolved. It was a night mare.

I picked up my VZW iPhone 13PM last year at an Apple Store, and the eSIM worked fine from my 12PM with a physical

Mine is ready for pickup!
