I got texts from Apple as I was just tutoring! Good thing I had on DND. Don’t think my student could have handled me going on and on about how the new phone is so close!
I am absolutely loving all the excitement so many of us are feeling just at getting a ready for pick-up email!

Oh snap, ready for pickup tomorrow in Chicago! I got the "We look forward to seeing you during your Check-in Window" emails about 3 hours ago.
I wonder if anybody ever replies to the "We are looking forward to seeing you" email with "The feeling is freakin' mutual!"
Unlikely - that 'mutual' feeling instantly dissipates once you see 'noreply' in the sender's address.

It really is beautiful. I never thought I would get a purple iPhone until I saw this color. It reminds me of ballpoint pen in. Sometimes black, sometimes, gray, sometimes purple, sometimes blue. Apple really did a good job with this color.
And on that note, I'm off to bed. Will follow up on my pick up tomorrow. Enjoy, everyone!

How exciting! It’ll either work or you’ll get the excitement again the next day…and if that day doesn’t, you’ll get yet another…and another—okay so phone or continued days of excitement. Yay!
Happy to report things went quite smoothly at the Rosenstraße store in Munich. Got there around 6:00 AM - there were probably around 50 people waiting.
They divided us into two lines, one for reservations and the other for walk-ins. For walk-ins, they simply took down our details and reserved a spot for us later in the day to come collect the phone (depending on availability). I suspect people that came in late probably got a spot for next week.
I’ll update again once I have the phone later this afternoon. ✌️
