Got my Email! My pickup is scheduled for tomorrow morning but my wifes is scheduled for this evening. Hoping ill be able to pickup both tonight. both same store. anybody else ever run into something similar?

I unfortunately have to wait until tomorrow to get my phone even though I'm scheduled to pick it up today. This week has been chaotic at work and yesterday my Fios service went out, so I'm a day behind.
At 5am PDT, there were in store stock availability today for most of the 14 colors.

Store was dead when I went to pick mine up at 8:30. I was the only one in line.
Compared to last year at same store for the 13 at the same time, there was a 10 min line for in store pick ups outside the mall, then another 10 min right outside the store.

I pre-ordered a 14 Pro for in store pickup and it’s showing as “ready for pickup” however I’m now seeing that my stores have Pro Max available for instore pickup today and I’m having second thoughts.
If I cancel my current order with Apple and then reorder the PM, is the first one canceled immediately? I’m doing a trade in and don’t want it to cause any issues with T-Mobile.

My introverted self is hoping for the same where I am. I plan to activate in-store, in case there are any issue with conversion from sim card to esim.
I can't activate at the office (wifi not available for phones), and at home we have wifi-calling but no cellular service, so after activating, I usually have to drive down the street for a cell signal to finish up the cell activation. Crazy in this day and age, but we do have an awesome mountain view to compensate for the lack of services.

What you can do is buy the Pro Max instore.
Compare both.
Return the one you don't want thru whichever method you purchased: Apple return - they ship you a box; Apple Store - return in person.

I had an order for a 256GB purple pro max that was scheduled for Oct 3-10 delivery. Was able to cancel that this morning and place a new order for the same phone for pickup from my Apple Store tomorrow. So excited!!
