As far as I know, no one has gotten this to work with 11.01 and M1 reliably. Some were working prior to 11.01. Some are working on Intel, and some have worked briefly, but I've seen no one claim it works reliably on 11.01 on M1.I can't even tell everyone here how many times I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting the "drive" folder, rebooting (thank god this computer is fast), etc...
Does anyone have an idea as to how we are all experiencing different "fixes"?
What version of Big Sur?Strange you guys are having issues. For me Google Drive works just fine since day one without any tinkering.
I'm not a fan of OD but it's on the standby list as a last resot.Microsoft OneDrive works fine on M1, how can they make it work and Google not? Beats me. Not sure about the other providers.....
Can you please clarify that you are using Google Backup and Sync on an Apple M1 computer (which one?) and have Big Sur 11.0.1 installed? How did you install it? Did you have any glitches?
How did you install it? Have you verified that it's working recently? What's the configuration of your MBP? i.e. memory and disc space? Most of your question is already answered in the message you quoted.
I am using a MacBook Pro. And as I said, no issues at all since day one.
are you using File Stream or Backup and Sync? What's so hard to understand about "no issues at all since day one"?
I have the 16+512GB model. But memory is unlikely to make any difference.
Backup and Sync. That's what this topic is about, right?are you using File Stream or Backup and Sync?
Did you get OD to install? I got a "We can't sync your ... folder" error and it timed out.so i have moved my business off google drive (i do keep back ups) to iCloud and OneDrive.
So I followed Desemac's steps and it failed at the end when I asked it to merge. Don't think I can trust this anymore so I'll figure out something today.
