I put in a ticket explaining exactly that. Guess what their answer is?It's annoying that this whole rollout is USA only, for a company as big as GOOGLE is, one that barely pays any corporate tax in the USA (as we all know), why they can't manage a global launch of anything is really quite pathetic.
Wow. Just wow.Google Play support said:Thank you for contacting Google Play today. The only way to place an order for the phone is if you have someone that is located in the US place the order for you. The device will be shipped to them and then they would have to ship the order to you.

/facepalm
I'd have jumped on the offer, even if the only shipping option available for non-US buyers is overnight air, and comes with warnings that the cellular bands on their phones will not work outside USA.at least the response was relevant and not an auto message on something unrelated.

HTC One does indeed support beats audio on the google edition. They have added a beat audio option in the sound menu of settings.
Where can I get that red phase beam wallpaper?
Well, just check again and Google finally updated the Devices page on the Play store to reflect the new One and S4 Google Play editions. Only a few hours late.
I know most of Sammy's built in features won't be available but what about stuff like the watch on app? I use that feature quite a bit and would hate to lose it altogether.
Unless you side load it, it won't be on. None of Sammys software will be on.
You could use Smart Remote for S4 as a remote control, but you won't get channel / TV guide of WatchOn
Yeah I thought about that but then where would I sideload it from? Or I could make a backup with TiB. Nonetheless, thanks for the heads up, I'll check out smart remote, does it work on the One as well?
I agree...I have CyanogenMod 10 running on my S4....It is pretty close if not better than what the GE S4 will have........CyanogenMod might actually get the update sooner that Samsung pushes out.....After seeing that Google will not be responsible for the updates of this phones I have lost all interest (specially combined with the high price).
They are not in the nexus program. They just are phones with stock android.
Will wait for Nexus 5. Don't trust Samsung or HTC giving too much support to both phones.
It's really silly isn't it?
This doesn't bode well for the Nexus 7 launch this year, either.
Do you have a link for it?
Also, is there a way to get one outside of the US? The devices I mean.
