is there any way to change the color profile?

Colour profile? What do you mean? The red wallpaper is simply a new Live Wallpaper for Google Edition Phones, the regular Blue Phase Wallpaper is still there. All the icons etc are custom ones. It looks like regular Android before I messed with it.

Please report back what you think about 4.3.
I am thinking about flashing this too.

So far the only thing I've noticed in everyday use is the new Camera UI. I watched Googles presentation on it and it looks like they've made serious GPU improvements. Sadly there isn't Root Access for 4.3 yet so I've lost Adblock. I guess I can live without that for now.

I know the HTC one left a few options in there like a beats toggle, the touchwiz s4 has display profiles. The default one reminds me of the way a tv looks out of the box or in a store. If is very "fake" looking or over saturated. The touchwiz version has a few different options to set the display to.

Can anyone share that google edition wallpaper? Is it an orange-ish version of the phase beam wallpaper?

EDIT: Nevermind - quick search on Google Play found it - someone's already ported it onto the Play Store.

From what the people at XDA told me, there is a 4.2.2 ROM taken from Google Edition phones that has Touchwiz framework underneath so that Samsung's own apps that rely on it will work. The ROM I opted to flash was a leaked 4.3 ROM that has all Touchwiz framework stripped out. So nothing Samsung remains.

Nope still have it.

Please excuse the shoddy camera quality, my only other camera apart from my S4 is my Nexus 10

Mind posting a link to that?

so is the theory that these google edition phones will come with 4.3? Maybe that is why they are waiting until july 9 to ship?

also, it doesn't look like "this version of 4.3" has anything different than just the camera update.

I hope there are under the hood improvements in battery and performance.

I canceled my order for the s4 when I learned it didn't support 1700 mhz hspa+ for t-mobile. I'm now thinking of picking up a t-mobile version and putting cm10 on it, but I'm hesitant; I've always found custom roms to be a bit too buggy for my liking.

As you have flashed, can you tell other than camera UI what is different in 4.3 over 4.2.2 for us ? Cheers... :)

I personally haven't noticed any differences, but then I've only played with it for a few hours. People who know far more about these things have uncovered mentions of new Bluetooth stacks in the code, plus from what Google themselves said. They've made how Android draws objects on the screen far more streamlined and efficient. It's going to be done at system level too so app devs don't need to do anything.

If you want to suggest areas you might know of let me know, I don't really know much about this, just opted for this over the 4.2.2 out of curiosity.

So it's mostly under the hood differences. Oh well they are good, but just not the things we can get overly excited for. I guess we will have to wait for KLP for the real new goodies.

If 4.3 is released now as a minor update them I'm pretty sure we can expect KLP in October or November with the new Nexuses.

I opted for the GE 4.2.2 ROM because it can be rooted. Working flawlessly on my i9505 but I miss all the small features from CM. I'd go back to CM if there were no issues with calls :(

I miss some of the things about CM too, but for me my HDR feature for the camera was broken, it would take literally 6-7 seconds to take a HDR, and you could see it individually focusing and taking 3 pictures and then processing them.

Its basically impossible to hold it still enough. In this official ROM the camera works flawlesssly for me.

I miss having the hardware keys remapped though. I had the menu key function as the app switcher button and had the menu button appear on screen.

I installed the 4.3 rom from XDA....ran it for a few hours today. It is still beta...so it is not ready for prime time yet. I also had lag in the HDR camera feature. Also there is no root for 4.3 yet.....so that kind of helped me go back to my backup CM10.
I will wait until it gets a little more polished and try it again...hopefully they will have root then as well.

How come you're running 4.3 which is a leak when you can use 4.2.2 GE?

I also had that setup on my S4!

I find that CM has more features for an AOSP rom. I have run other AOSP roms too. I tried the 4.2.2 GE rom last night......it did not seem ready to me....For me personally CM is better.
