I find that CM has more features for an AOSP rom. I have run other AOSP roms too. I tried the 4.2.2 GE rom last night......it did not seem ready to me....For me personally CM is better.

It's way better and I'd be on it too if it wasn't for the call issues. Every few calls I get a call where I can't hear the other person and they can't hear me. If I'm initiating the call I can't even hear the phone ringing. Once that's fixed I'll be back on CM.

My point is 4.3 and 4.2.2 are both AOSP so why not use 4.2.2 which is working fine? You said you want 4.3.

I ordered some GRE study books yesterday and they are out for delivery today.....I was shocked and I always use Amazon Prime.....best $79/year I spend!

It's true, I've already recouped my $79 and I just renewed three weeks ago. Amazon is truly on the ball. I've never had a better order / billing / shipping experience than with Amazon.

Now at well over five years of rather heavy buying, I still find myself amazed at the consistency and error free experience I enjoy each month with them. They truly understand the power of making purchases convenient for the customer.

The only other company that comes close is Apple.

Funny how it is, they too make it convenient, thus my purchase volume is huge. In fact I like the newest updates to the Apple Store app on my iPhone 5, it gives me so much flexibility.

Besides ordering in advance via the App, now we can go into the store, browse, and buy things right off the shelf by simply scanning them with the camera and the purchase is done.

No waiting in line, no waiting for anyone, it's all done via the app. Brilliant.

Oh and it sure doesn't hurt that my Apple store is only 3 miles from home....:D

It just seemed so feature les....to be honest...... In CM I can set the notification light to be color coded....blinking blue for a text....blinking green for a email....blinking red for a missed call or VM. I know ASOP is vanilla.... But CM seems to be a better fit for me. the only think I miss from TW is the camera voice feature...

Trust me I miss them too since I've been using CM on and off for a few years now but I can't use a ROM that breaks the phone aspect of my phone :p I take it you haven't been having any issues with calls? Which model of the S4 do you have?

Oh and you can use Light Flow from the Play Store to customize the LED. It's what I'm using for the time being till I go back to CM.

How come you're running 4.3 which is a leak when you can use 4.2.2 GE?

I also had that setup on my S4!

I opted for 4.3 because all reports said it worked flawlessly, and I love using beta/experimental new software. I also jump onto the latest beta Windows releases, have done since Longhorn.

It's the reason I keep my TechNet Account active.

I'm the same but it's really frustrating when it does happen. With friends/family I can just hang up and call back but if it's a stranger or a blocked number/company then I can't really do that.

LMT works on any ROM.

I reverted back to 4.2.2

The battery drain for me with 4.3 was horrendous. Also my phone was pretty much constantly warm. I have an extended 5200MaH battery (stock is 2400) and I lost 10% in 2 hours simply being on standby in my pocket. On my extended battery running CM 10.1 if I left it alone, after 2 hours I'd still be on 100-99%.

Yeah. I'm reading XDA and all the talk about 4.3 and battery drain make the current GE builds look bad. Makes my issue with occasional incoming call silence on official CM10.1 look mild (though I wish there's a fix for that bit).

GE 4.2.2 so far is great, no carrier issues, no silent calls, great battery life. I miss the little things in CM10.1 like themes. ( I had Hologlass). I miss the ability to remap the hardware keys, I miss being able to close all open apps in 1.

Anyone seen any reviews yet about the battery life on HTC One GE? I'm thinking about ordering soon but I haven't seen much about battery from the tech sites.

I will say this.. the.. "google edition" rom i had on my VZW s4 for a day was Amazing on battery.

Doesn't say much as I didn't even get through a cycle to show what it really was and that rom is still under construction.

so did anyone actually buy one of these?

Yep. Sent the HTC One back to Google yesterday. I tried to love it. I really did. Lol The buttons were really flush and hard to push and the software had lag and stuttered and the apps didn't look and feel as smooth or good to me. I'm talking MINIMAL issues here but I'm picky ;-).

The buttons (plural) ? Well (of the three) two of them are capacitive. You don't get more flush than that ;) :p

I hated the sleep button placement which is the main reason I gave my brother the One and got myself an S4. If you want flush then try the sleep button on the HTC 8X! The button on that phone was an absolute nightmare.

The screen doesn't bother you vs the one?

Just think what a company like Apple/Google with their software and tech could do combined with the logistical prowess of an Amazon......

Not to say Apple generally has any trouble. They are pretty good about sorting out orders - even with selling 5+ million in a weekend. But Amazon is incredible with its order system.

If I could get my Apple stuff (or Google if you like) through Amazon Prime, that'd be a dream.

That's why I buy all my phones from Amazon these days :D

No Google Editions on there though, or anywhere outside the US in fact... :(

So so true.... The 8X power button was appalling design wise on an otherwise nice phone..
