Welp, I think I'm getting pixel fever o_O there are a few concerns I have so far however:

Notch on the XL 4?
Flat screen?
Price?
128/256 storage options?

And how soon will I be able to get the blasted thing? Kind of getting a bit of a vibe that pre orders are going to crash the big G and or they'll run out very quick.

Might be the device to retire my Nexus 6, OP 6 and pixel 3 XL and maybe even my s7e all at once! Although the XL 3 would likely stay as a backup in case of tinkering issues

Who's excited? I know a while back I really wasn't but since the note 10 (note 9 exynos) I really couldn't go through ordering, they really didn't appeal to me, same with the OP7 pro (mostly because the camera, I think the pixel line has me spoilt.

Still wouldn't mind seeing a pixel tab running Android and not chrome.

I am getting excited too!
Last year the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL were officially announced on October 9 and then released on October 18, 2018. So we have about a month to go :-(

Fine, but in terms of modern design, the Pixel 4 leaks make it look like a cheap Chinese knockoff.
Sorry but cheap Chinese knockoffs all have notches :D

I know what you mean though. It does look dated. I wish they could have slimmed it down and added a symmetrical one on the other end.

That huge top forehead bezel will be hard to get used to, this is 2019 not 2016. And I hope the bottom bezel is slim and same size as the side bezels

If this is the Pixel 4, Google could have done a much better job slimming the side bezels. But at least it means the display area isn't curved, so no distorting at the top & bottom when viewing media in landscape.
Side bezels? What about the top/bottom bezels?!

I'm cool with the top bezel as long as the facial recognition and motion sensors justify it. If they're gimmicky and don't work well then it will be a bust.

Still can't decide between the iPhone 11, Pixel 4 XL, and Note 10 plus for my new phone. Usually I have a pretty good idea but this year is a toss up.

If the Pixel 4 can make 8x (hybrid, digital) zoom look decent, i’m all over it! Time to sell (or trade in) my Pixel 2. The Pixel 2 is my favorite phone camera and I can’t wait to see how much the cameras have improved since then.

It was hard for me to make a commitment without knowing for sure what the Pixel 4 was going to have. But I am enjoying the S Pen and find a lot of very specific utility in the Note right now. Usually I base so much of my choices on the cameras, but I’m to the point now the cameras are all good and I’m starting to evaluate the overall experience.

If I wasn’t married to iOS then I probably would carry a Pixel and the Note. To me the Pixel and the iPhone are more comparable and the Pixels have some cool advantages over the iPhones and vice versa.

The Note is something of a different animal altogether. Unless you couldn’t care less about the S Pen and it’s just another oversized phone to you. To me it’s in a class all by itself. I don’t mean it’s better. It is just unique, having those S Pen features.

I’m pretty set on skipping the Pixel 4 but I am really excited in a phone nerd way to see what it will be like. The coral has definitely gotten my attention! :D
