Computritonal photography is game changing though. No photo is ever under or ever exposed. Just snap and don't worry about having to l edit photos. Every photo looks great.
Thanks for pointing that out. I realise now that I actually have hardly any experience using more recent phone cameras than that of my 7 Plus (as my gf sadly is a cheapskate with phones :D). Will see if I can get a chance to test and compare.

Might end up being a non-issue though if I suddenly give in to that midnight green  I'm scared that it'll feel like pearls before swine though as I'm such an appalling photographer lol

Can't wait to see the camera comparisons between the Pixel 4XL and the iPhone 11 pro Max. I'm going to guess Apple has improved significantly but Google will still win out slightly.

At the end of the day I think both these phones will have amazing cameras practically tied for first place best phone cameras of 2019

Whoa is it really going to have the same amount of RAM as an iPhone Pro? On an Android? Please Google don’t cheap out on this. I don’t plan to get one but I still want this phone to kick butt and take names!

Fixed for the inevitable truth.
:p

For you and ALL of us. :D
ROFLMAO! Oh I can't say you're wrong but I honestly am having a hard time juggling 3 phones now. We shall see. I would not be getting a Pixel until well into the winter anyway. It hasn't been a pre order or launch day phone for me since I had a preordered Pixel 2 that was terrible. The trust just isn't there yet.

1) Wow, that forehead.
2) I really don’t like the black border around the white phone. I really, really don’t.
3) The screen curves are too aggressive.

It looks fine to me. I like the coral and panda and if it has 8GB of RAM that is good news. My S10+ was excellent on that amount. Looks like it will be able to do all kinds of cool tricks. Let's just see if they've finally got quality control sorted this year. THAT has been my sticking point with them.

No way Iphone has 6GB of ram. The Pixel 4 xl (from video leaked) has 6GB of ram which sounds about right.

Has there been anything substantial to suggest the 4XL has a 3700mah battery? Or is more what people are expecting, rather than a source?

I was toying with the idea of getting a new iPhone prior to the Key Note yesterday, but I have been totally underwhelmed with the offerings from Apple.

I was all in on a new XR, and the new iPhone 11 colours are great - the green is amazing.
But my annoyances with the XR - low res display, heavy, slightly big and unwieldly, are all still there. It is the exact same phone minus the additional lens and the upgraded internals. Whilst that extra battery is impressive, I just can't bring myself to dive in on one when I know I'll just be bored with it.

The Pro is also a bit of a joke when there is nothing remotely 'pro' about it. And the price is eye watering.

For me, I am really excited by Google and always am at this time of year. Generally, the leaks leave me underwhelmed, and I remember last year being so disappointed both before and during the launch. But the Pixel 3 ended up being one of my favourite phones (QC aside).

So I think I'll fulfil my tech need on iPhone launch day with a Nintendo Switch Lite and wait for Pixel 4 event before deciding what to do. :p

I could end up keeping the Note 10, as I do still love it, although stock Android still wins out for me.

So with the Vietnamese factory workers leaking these phones, do we have an exact spec sheet now?

-Battery size for the XL?
-RAM amount for the XL?

Possibly faked but it's not completely out of left field.

What I'm clarifying is that it wasn't just a speculative guess. It's a prediction based on the available data.
Yup, a rumor as it stands. Not unlike some of those preceding Apple's latest device event. Some predictions based on the best available data did not pan out, so at the end of the day they were simply rumor.

Not that I wouldn't hope some of the rumors WRT Pixel 4 DO pan out. Might be the year I ditch my OG Pixel.

I would still be good with my Pixel 2 XL had I not lost it in the lake, I'll stick my 3. The zoom would be nice and better night feature of the camera but I just don't get the craze of new phones and having to have them. My day to day experience is no different on my 3 XL compared to my 2 and even original Pixel XL

I am trying to get there, the hype gets to me though, but I hope to get where you are soon.

Will have to say, pretty excited to see the google magic with 2 cameras. I really think the iPhone stepped it up and can compare with the Pixel 3 still shots, iPhone blows them away on video though.

4K leaks! Why is it always the Pixel that has these 'leaks' every year? I used to be sceptical about claims that they're controlled leaks but these days I'm starting to believe this conspiracy.

Spec's and hardware and OS sound to be really good for the Pixel 4 line. But that Frankenstein forehead is so dated looking, looks like a phone from 3 years ago, not a next gen future flagship smartphone.
+1, I was hoping they'd get rid of it this year but wow, hugely disappointed. Even the back camera bump - what are they playing at - it looks like the iPhone 11 series! They seriously need to sack their designs team and bring in some fresh, modern, sleek designs.
