Reviewers are already calling this phone THE TRUTH!
It seems like they already have it and have the reviews prepared also.
Just search on YouTube for live conversations about it.

Will pick one up once the huge price drop happens that usually occurs with Android devices.

The new Pro Max is going to be my go to for now with the OP7 getting the Android slot in my drawer. Makes it easier to go back and forth between the Pixel line and OP as i will never consider a Samsung. :)

Thoughts on what the 3XL will go for on trade through Google on the 4? I've listed mine for sale, but may hold onto and trade instead. (128GB model)

Are you going to elaborate on this? Calling it as in criticising it? And are you saying all the usual reviewers have been given a unit by Google to do their reviews a month before it's announced, let alone released?

Seems none of the usual news outlets have picked up on this.

Don't think like big reviewers, small ones. Like with 30-50k subscribers. Tube it in live conversations. They are not allowed to speak more.
It will be THE TRUTH when it comes to smartphones. This is how they describe it.

Are you serious, or joking? Inquiring minds would like to know :)
I known what I have listened. Watched a 2 hours+ live conversation of 6-10 persons. Many coming in and out. At some time an youtuber team pixel has entered and talked about THE TRUTH for about 2 minutes saying to others 5 that he sent his video review to them by email, so that they check the video.
Imagine this is a freaking BETA sample!

No surprise for me. Imagine that soli radar being able to capture your finger movements for scrolling, swiping etc. Also the cameras and software features.

Well, for the first time in a while, it looks like Apple made some serious headway with camera improvements, at least according to initial reviews.

Nilay at the Verge has been super critical of the XS camera, acknowledging it’s not anywhere close to the same league as the Pixel 3 and Note 9/10 but has some pretty glowing praise for the 11 Pro.

Gauntlet thrown Google...let’s see what you’ve got up your sleeve in the Pixel 4.

Obviously it's not a fact, but read in a few places Google are going to be using the same sensor they've used in the last 2 years. So if any camera improvements are in the form of software, surely the Pixel 2 & 3 can be updated to equal the 4?

It's actually pretty big of him to say that as he pretty much constantly trashes his Xs (weekly podcasts, articles, etc.). I never had the issues or criticisms of the Xs that he has had. But I'm definitely looking forward to testing out the camera on my 11 Pro this weekend!

Yeah, surprised to hear that as well. Looks like iPhone caught up camera wise, now to see what google does.

Agreed. I was waiting for the cliche ‘the Verge are just Apple fanboys’ (not from you specifically :p) but that really hasn’t been the case for years. If you listen to their podcast or dive deep into many of their reviews, one would see that they are all really quite critical of Apple over the past few years. Nilay just last week openly trashed the camera on the XS so seeing his comments here were quite a surprise. I’ll admit I expected the customary Apple iteration with this camera update so if these initial reviews are true, it’s nice to see Apple doing more than just ‘catching up.’ And now of course my willpower to resist upgrading my iPhone is starting to crumble. :D

Regardless I’m just super happy seeing all of these manufacturers pushing each other so hard—means we just get better and better products every year.

Apple was embarrassed by single less pixel phones for two years. For the 11 Pro the effort had to be 110% and not just 20%. Both the hardware, software and muscle power show that Apple has made a solid effort.

Image quality doesn’t look like a huge jump over the Pixel 3 or Note 10. Each phone is a little bit better depending on the situation. Neither of them has a “killer” camera and it’s the extras that should swing your purchase decision e.g more storage and larger screen on the Note, superior video capabilities of the 11 Pro or the stock android and future proofness of the Pixel 4.

So happy that Apple has stepped up their camera game. I specifically use a Pixel only for events that i know we will be taking a lot of pictures.

My Pro Max will be here Friday and excited to do some comparison testing to see if i can ditch the Pixel for now and go back to 2 phones (iOS and Android) instead of the 3 i have (Pixel, iPhone, OP7).
