Man. So disappointing that outdoor brightness is still an issue.
Too many corners cut to justify the cost.
Love the design and look of them. But they suck to actually use.
Had one on my 2 XL, and also my 3 XL, thru make the phones way harder to hold, super slippery, and thick and harder to grab.
This just one upped Galaxy Note 10's pen to text transcription and indexing. It makes the pen input part unnecessary.
I don’t know how much of the original HTC design and engineering staff still remains. My HTC 10 was a perplexing mix of superlatives and choppy work. In the tear downs it was completely lacking evidence of thoughtful efficient design and custom engineering that characterized Apple for years and Samsung’s best efforts of the last few years. Yet in actual use there was much charm to it.
I like this guys videos, this really shows the phones in great detail, but wow the forehead top bezel really looks large, and makes the Pixel 4 look dated.
Isn't the rumor for the 2020 iPhone's, that are due to release in September, to get rid of the notch, and have all the sensors buried under the glass, and a little bit in the thin tiny bezel. That the iPhone 12 will have a thin equal sized bezel on all 4 sides, being perfectly symmetrical and like all display, zero notches, no punch holes, no tear drop, etc...
Saying that, I feel the Pixel 4 will not age well.
I keep thinking this. This is a $650 phone at most.Man. So disappointing that outdoor brightness is still an issue.

Radar seems to be like those retina scan of Samsung’s, just a spec list with no real common uses. I mean no developers would be bothered with Pixel only features.I keep thinking this. This is a $650 phone at most.
Radar is neat (although MKBHD seems to think it doesn't work), but how does that help me when I'm using my phone outside? Google cuts such basic corners every year. Disappointing.
I think the practical use they describe is great. Screen is off until you approach the device and the AOD turns on. It also speeds up their face unlock feature which is awesome. All the other gestures seem silly, though. I can use my fingers to interact with the piece of glass on the phone. I don't need to wave my hands around.Radar seems to be like those retina scan of Samsung’s, just a spec list with no real common uses. I mean no developers would be bothered with Pixel only features.
Sure, but then that’s about it. No 3rd party developers would be bothered with it unless the likes of Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi starts putting the same tech on their phones.I think the practical use they describe is great. Curious which first look review that are mediocre. Mkbhd is quite honest, but rest are seemingly trying to spin the Pixel 4 as something that is great and positive. Some channels claimed the Pixel 4 has SD855+ (which is false). Another talk how great the air gesture is (Mkbhd is more honest here). There are channels praising the design and matte back, ignoring the glossy black and bezels. And of course the screen. Many are praising how great the 90hz screen is, ignoring other phones like OnePlus and Razer that have used high refresh rate screens in the past. And when they’re talking about price, most only compare it to the $999 iPhone pro, ignoring the slew of other Android phones with better spec for less. It’s really hilarious the tech tubers are so easily influenced by free demo units with fancy packaging.I just ended up cancelling my order. After seeing the mediocre "first look" reviews on youtube today after the event, Im just not justifying that $1100 for 128GB and Preferred Care on a regular 4. Might even go look at a Samsung S10 tomorrow and see if that is more my speed. I have been holding out for this phone but the wow factor just isnt there.

I was shocked when they said they Buds would be available in the Spring. That’s a long time. Spring ends in June 2020 so Google could very well wait until the very last week.Enough with the dated forehead/chin (& therefore large form factor), Google. It just makes your phones less practical & more of an annoyance to handle.
More intrigued by the new Pixel Buds than the Pixel phone.
Can't wait to get my hands on the P4 XL next week!
Thanks! It's all good...everyone has different tastesMan, I’m sorry we’re all destroying this phone as you’re excited for it. Lol. I’m sure the user experience is going to be great.
