#1 I want to see is better battery life compared to my 3 XL, which gives ok battery life, not bad, but not great.

I think the SD855 is much more efficient, and hoping they do the 4,000 mAh battery.

I'm excited for the Pixel 4 XL, but bringing back the forehead top bezel like the 2 XL, seems a step backward design wise. Why not do what the Note 10 renders show and what the Essential phone had, both with very minimal tiny dot cutouts in the center top of screen. To me those look very good, and don't take space like an ugly notch.

I believe cause it looks like they're ready to take on Face ID proper.

Which I'm all for.

The only thing I’m nervous about there is that Apple has done such a phenomenal job on Face ID that Google’s iteration will be a let down.

Face unlock works very well on Android. Can’t see why a more secure Face ID wouldn’t be good if a company set out to make it. Still doubtful that’s actually what the Pixel 4 will bring.

OnLeaks provided dimensions of the devices. Pixel 4 is about the same size as Galaxy S9. Pixel 4 XL is about the same size as Pixel 3a XL.

- #Pixel4 = Likely between 5.6-inch and 5.8-inch display + roughly 147.0 x 68.9 x 8.2 mm (9.3 including rear camera bump)
- #Pixel4XL = Likely between 6.2-inch and 6.4-inch display + roughly 160.4 x 75.2 x 8.2 mm (9.3 including rear camera bump)

Again, I'm watching what Pixel 4 & One Plus 7t Pro have to offer. The Pixel 4 is shaping up to be a beast, just need to see if the software execution is going to back up the hardware.

Excellent stuff so far!!!

Software is usually bang on with Pixels.

Here is a render of the front that could be very close to the real deal.

I didn't think I'd ever like something that isn't symmetrical, but I think I would be okay with it looking like this. It's like Essential phone flipped upside down, except without a notch.

LOVE it :)

Not a fan of notches at all, almost every phone looks terrible with a notch, except very minimal ones like the Essential Phone or upcoming Note 10, both with very tiny center dots for cameras. Otherwise this is the compromise

Just remember Google has a history of always releasing something a bit uglier than we had all planned upon. :D

The render above was done by combining an iPhone and a Pixel 2 XL. It looks decent but I feel the finished product might be a bit worse than this, based on their history.

Ehhhhhhh, preferred the hole punch render personally even though I don't like hole punches. Looked cleaner and more screen real estate.

More interested in the camera and battery specs at this point to see if it will make me plunge or not.

I would rather have a better zoom for close ups. I get outdoors a lot and would to have a better zoom for nature shots

Wide is much more important, IMO. You can walk closer or crop for a closer shot, but sometimes you can't get further away for a good shot.

Both have their benefits. I’d probably prefer wide. A 3x zoom would be pretty neat though. If Google go for a zoom, I can’t see them making do with just 2x.

Meh, who am I kidding, this is probably going to be a buy for me if I have the scratch, unless it's another notchzilla. I think I was waiting for the 4 anyway. The only reason I end up with my 3 XL is because I bricked my 2 and thought it was a total loss.
