After skipping the Pixel 4 this is the year I would like to take a crack at one of their new phones. Unfortunately that’s not an option for me. My money is going toward necessities and my SE was my family’s splurge for me. I was ridiculously fortunate to get my S20 for under $400. Actually I think it was closer to $300. I’d have to check my old receipt.

But I would still like to see the blasted things available for sale. I’m wanting to see y’all getting your phones and posting. Tech news and phone gossip is still my guilty pleasure!

Good thing the OP Nord didnt release in the US or else this phone would be dead on arrival. It'll probably cost more and is going to get beat in every single area except for the cameras and possibly battery life.

Google really screwed the pooch on this release. I went ahead and preordered a Motorola Edge 5g and can’t cancel now. I’ll avoid opening the Motorala to see if a pixel phone does come out on the 3rd with 5g.

Yeah, thanks @BMox81 - I forgot to add that info in.

Looks good though. I was a Pixel guy, had the 2XL and the 3XL, before I cracked the screen on that and saw a OnePlus 7 Pro which was fairly cheap. Gave that a shot and I've never looked back really, and the only thing I really miss is the Pixel's camera, I find the hardware of the OP 7 Pro superior, and Oxygen OS is just as polished as stock android, in my opinion.

If there's a 4a XL I'd be tempted to pick it up, but I think it's been rumoured there is no XL of the 4a, right? That's a shame, if so.

That Pixel 4a 5G price should concern anyone that thought the Pixel 5 might be cheap. If the budget phone with 5G is $500, that means the Pixel 5 is probably staying at $700 with the XL at $800 or more for the base model.

Despite the great price on the 4a, passing on the 4a this year. Decided to open up my Motorola Edge 5G and it's definitely a good amount of tech for the price. I'll switch between that and my Pixel 2XL from time to time. I'll be looking out for the Pixel 5 now.

with the XL at $800 or more for the base model.
There are rumors of no "XL" model this year (for the 5). Does this mean the only model will be the size of an "XL" or just not large phone? Nobody really knows for sure yet...

One thing I hope they have carried over from Pixel 4 is the haptics. They totally skimped on that from 3 to 3a, giving it a cheap vibration motor so hoping they don't repeat that.

I returned my Pixel 4 I bought a few weeks ago and kept hold of my Xperia 1 ii.
I am tempted by a cheaper Pixel experience. I personally don't like the hardware on the Pixel 4 and I can't put my finger on why. I think it's the cheap feeling plastic bumper all the way round but it was the most disappointing hardware version of Pixel yet for me.

That’s a really strong price with those specs. Plus the camera is incredible

I might purchase one provided it’s a fair exchange rate to Canada and not inflated like the iPhone SE was

The 730G looks to be somewhere around the A9-A10 in power, which is very good for android and android 10 should be smooth on it...6gb ram and 128gb storage with an hdr capable display and all day battery, it should be a hit. No wireless charging is going to be a bummer but have to cut corners somewhere for these budget devices.
