Ah down memory lane
But it is not a fair comparison yeah the nexus 6 was huge but also had a bigger screen than the pixel 5 does, remember the pixel 5 has a different aspect ratio, its probably closer to 5.4" in the nexus 6 aspect ratioJust to show you how far we've come in 6 years. The Nexus 6 was released in 2014 with a 6" screen and here it is next to the Pixel 5. I remember the Nexus 6 at the time was a massive phone with a huge screen. Crazy that these both have the same 6" screen!

There ya go... Now ya talking...I still have my T-mobile G1 laying around somewhere. First ever android phone.

I was just going by the diagonal measurements, which is how screens and are measured and both were 6".
Correct... screens are measured diagonally.
BUT... if the aspect ratios are different... 6" on one is not the same as 6" on another. That's the point they were making.
You can't just say "both are 6 inches so they're obviously the same"

Wow. That's surprising. That gap on the screen which a few Pixel 5 users have reported, well Google says it's normal and part of the design.
Google says Pixel 5 screen and body gap is 'normal part of the design'
As customers started receiving the Pixel 5 in mid-October, some noticed a small gap between the display and frame. Google Pixel 5 gap...9to5google.com

I did the same! The best thing about not going for the flagship is you get to buy two cheaper phones for not much more.Sorta, kinda, maybe Sage
You read my mind, I was just thinking about that. I just noticed BB has both in stock right now. Trying to resist, but I have the day off, so this should be interesting.Does anyone know if the black and green models are textured differently on the back?
The reason I ask is because I messed with the black one in store last week, and I'm pretty sure it was more of a sandstone/gritty feel. The green one has a slight texture, but definitely feels like more of a polished finish then I remember the black one being. You read my mind, I was just thinking about that. Curious as well!
That makes me want the black. I like that sandstone feeling of the OnePlus cases.Does anyone know if the black and green models are textured differently on the back

Its definitely not as sandstone feeling as the Oneplus cases. The best way I can describe is it feels like paper. Or like an eggshell.
Grippy enough to go caseless?
Better than the typical glass slabs but not much better. The material feels good in hand, but I wouldnt describe it as grippy.
It would be the S20 FE if it were me.Trying to decide between the 5 or keeping the S20 FE I'm using. Decisions!
