Well it will be 5 when S24 ultra launches 😂

believe it or not I do have a use case for all my phones.
Haha, so do I. It's called backups in case one goes out for repairs or in my case, I happen to live where Hurricanes love to hit. So being able to switch out a phone with 100% battery helps when I am trying to keep up with current weather reports.

Edit: and that's the benefit and convenience of physical SIM's.

I always have two phones. Generally I get one that is practically free through promotions, deals, trade in, Swappa, etc. and one phone I pay a bit more for.

I don't buy insurance and use the money saved to put towards a new phone.

That way if I lose, break, or have a warranty issue I have an immediate back up. Cell phones are too important to wait a few days with no phone while a replacement is shipped or repair is made.

I just got a Gmail notice for my Wife's trade in for her Pixel 8. She had a Galaxy S9 and was supposed to only get $100.

I am happy to say .....and very surprised they are refunding us $245. It was in very good shape but the screen had a pink hue.
I mean $245,.... my Pixel 7 is going to bring $325. Pretty happy with that result.

Haven't got a notice for my P7 yet.

No over heating on my 15 PM either.
Careful dissing the 8 Pro though - you’ll cause upset to those enjoying the device. 😂😛

Is it just the cell reception that made you look to the 15 PM? Or something else.
I’ll admit, I think the 15 PM is the best iPhone yet. I love mine.
I like the Pixel 8 Pro in all other aspects, its just the cell and WiFi reception isn't very good.

I am curious if AT&T is doing some weird load balancing in the area on their towers, but only seems to affect androids. There is a tower across the street from me that all the big three use. And with an iPhone, it's always full signal bars here, 4G and 5G.

With the Pixel, it will be on full bars, then after awhile it goes to half and sits there for awhile. A few times in the past few days I happened to catch it going all the way to 0 bars, then all the sudden jump back up to full. It will keep doing that throughout the day, yet the iPhone stays tapped at full bars. (Yes I check the dB levels also and not just go by bars). It almost seems like it's bouncing around to different towers.

Even the WiFi signal. When sitting on my couch, the iPhone maintains full signal on WiFi, but the Pixel is usually 1 or 2 bars.

I have the dbrand ghost on order. Hopefully it arrives soon, but I'm happy with the bay official case.

On a side note does anyone use the Whitestone dome screen protector? It seems like it interferes with the auto brightness as I had one on my p7p and auto brightness was flaky too, but when I had cheap protector of Amazon (lk I think) the auto brightness seemed fine... Shame the protectors broke easily lol.

Happyness turned to maddening.

Got my second trade in notice. Obviously they have the phones mixed up as they said the Galaxy S9 was going to get me $245. Well, got the second notice for the Pixel 7 and it says they found 1 issue and gave me $28 lol

The one issue should be for the GS9 with the pink hue on the screen. I can see that but geez $28? But, ok.

So obviously the $245 is for my P7 which was in perfect condition so I'm a bit livid about that and replied to them it was BS and asked why only $245?

So I'm feeling a bit jipped.

Re: the PW2, i'm glad I went with the black finish. I like the glossy black dial and the matte black wristband. It looks really slick. I'm still trying to find uses for it but so far, it needs my phone and everything I can do on the watch, I can do the same and more on the Pixel phone. Now what would be a game changer and it's something rumored for the next Apple Watch, is blood pressure monitoring. If the PW3 can do that then I can see a direct benefit. If Apple does introduce that next year, then I will probably buy an AW to pair with my iPhone 13.
