Traded in my Pixel 7 Pro for an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Now I'm not so sure about my decision anymore 😂
Who the hell wants a wifi watch? Please tell me, I'm not being ironic, what is the point? This a device that you're supposed to take with you everywhere...
I was so close to grabbing a S23 Ultra, even went to Best Buy checking it out, but that dang 'store demo mode' is brutal and really not a good way to test and get a feel for a phone. I liked it but didn't love it.
Main thing I wanted over my current 7 Pro;
-Much brighter screen
-Flat display
-Better battery life / more efficient
-Updated modem

I've never purchased anything but the WiFi versions. I always have my phone on me and paying a carrier another penny doesn't appeal to me at all.
Easy way to get the tidbits I need coming in to my phone without pulling it out and breaking focus of whatever I'm doing.

I was squarely on the fence deciding between Bay and Obsidian colours. Both look extremely good. I reckon Google nailed the colours this year.
Finally decided on stealth Obsidian as it was the only colour in 512GB plus I will get the Bay colour case.
Free Pixel Watch 2, except £50 extra for the LTE version.
10% Google Store cashback to go towards the new Buds Pro.
Went through Quidco & then Google UK store for 2.4% cashback, although that might be declined as Fitbits are excluded with Quidco.
Delivery 12th October, although I'm not able to collect until late Oct.
With absolutely no prior warning like the UK store, the 8's and Watch 2 appeared on the Google Italy store.
Given the GBP/EUR exchange rate, both slightly cheaper than UK prices but only the Buds Pro free with the 8 Pro otherwise an extra €170 for the Watch 2 for WiFi with LTE unavailable. This making the European bundle deals less appealing than UK & US.
For new cases and Bud Pros, I noticed they are available in Coral too. Would have loved an 8 Pro in Coral!

In the UK they currently have £150 Google store credit on the Fold, which stacks with the 10% with Google One.
Same, and a minimum of $400 was my target. I would have kept my 7 Pro if not for the $420 trade-in, my $200 store credit and a free pair of Pixel Buds Pro thrown in. I was tempted my the watch because it cost more but I haven't worn a watch in 45 years and I listen to music and the Pixel Buds Pro have gotten rave reviews for their sound quality.
The only news that could make this any better if Google have found a way to implement Soli in a different version! Absolute game changer to be able to make secure payments.
Why am I questioning myself going with the Bay blue color for the 8 Pro? I'm not a fan of black phones, as those are just too plain Jane boring to me. I used to always get white Pixel's, Pixel 2 XL panda white, Pixel 3 XL white, Pixel 4 XL frosted white, Pixel 6 Pro white, Pixel 7 Pro Black and I never liked it. But the porcelain color on the 8 Pro I was worried would be more beige cream colored, with rose colors sides, so I went with the blue instead, now not sure if that was the right choice? I did want something with some pop, something different.

I was thinking the same. I ordered the blue but would have went for the porcelain white, but to my eye it just seems to have a very slight pinkish/rose tint that I don't want. It might look different in hand but obviously I can't personally take a look right now.
Black, well, I've had too many black phones in the past and wanted something different.

I canceled my iPhone 15 Pro Max pre-order last week. With the Pixel Pro 8 deal I do get more included, however I'm not sure how the camera stacks up and what the batter life is going to be like.
