Pixel 8 Pro colors, that blue does looks look awesome, but with the shiny glossy sides that killed it for me, if the sides were the same flat matte color I would've stuck with Bay, but I changed my mind and went with the Porcelain white.

Enjoying seeing all the early hands-on and opinions.

The new blue looks a lot better than I expected in videos, photos dont seem to do it justice. I only wish it came in 512GB like in the US.

I'm undecided on cases still. Will go for the official silicones in charcoal, bay & maybe coral for my Obsidian but also waiting for a decent leather & magsafe. Not sure how good Bellroy leather cases are although they seem to be long-term partners of Google.

I’ve watched a few YouTube early hands on, no details on battery life tho yet and heat management.

That blue looks gorgeous tho and I’m so tempted to order just based on that 😂

Does anyone have any experience with the Buds Pro? How they stack up compared to AirPods Pro.

I find Pixel photos to always be underexposed and the white balance can be hit or miss. The iPhone exposure is always perfect and white balance is consistently warm.

Pixel Astro mode beat every iPhone until iPhone 15 Pro for me. The iPhone is pulling better detail and less noise now.

Zoom, pixel wins still. The iPhone 5x zoom has too much grain/noise in less than perfect light.

I've thought Pixel photos tended to be oversaturated (4a and 6P hands on experience) compared to other mobiles and DSLR's.

OnePlus 8T snaps have been stellar at times and like, really bad others. S23+ seems like a substantial improvement here, there and elsewhere.

I'll give the S23+ a full-on workout over the upcoming weekend with Expert RAW and regular JPEG photo apps.

Going off the grid for 3 days of technical mountain bike riding. (I'm genrally the one bloke who takes photos).

No connectivity is also where my old 12" 16GB MacBook with lowly m3 processor, running LR 6.14 "perpetual" still comes in handy. The (free , non-AppleCare "1 year warranty" replaced guts and) battery still provides 12+ hours of runtime.

My old man head kicked in and I know that I’d like the Blue for a couple of weeks but then I’d wished I’d gone with Obsidian. Lol

Blue band will be a callback as that colour way came with my S0 Aluminium Apple Watch.

How? The 15 Pro Max starts at £1,199 the Pro 8 starts at £999

Like for like 256gb p8pro is £1059 and 15PM 256Gb £1199. At these sort of price points I would say the Apple, even though you do get a £300 watch with the pixel which you can sell on

Rarely go to the office, and now my phones are all USB-C. I was like "Dang it" I can't plug into my desktop stereo.

Wait some of this artwork isn't just artwork at my desk!

Oh I miss the good old days when phones came bundled with stuff we needed. To this day I still use my Pixel 2's USBc - USB-A Adapter.

Yup I do.
They’re not as good. In fact they’re quite a bit worse than the AirPods Pro 2’s.

I flitted between the 2 loads as I used my pixel bud pros with the pixel and AirPods for iPhone due to them both connecting to their respective devices well.

But sound quality definitely better on AirPods.
