I loved that panda 4XL.. It really was nice to hold.. and also had that face ID.. I should have kept that phone and had it as a backup probably rooted. Have fun with it.. I wish they would go back to the non-glossy look and maybe change the camera to a darker color

What color Pixel 8 Pro are you all looking at?

Seems the 8 Pro will come in 3 colors;

-White
-Black
-Light Blue

And the lower end regular 8 coming in;

-Cream White
-Black
-Green
If I were to go ahead with this I think I’d get light blue. Usually I like to get white but their light blue is really beautiful.

It used to just be a running joke that everyone in touch with tech made fun of, Google killing off another product. But after Stadia, I’m pretty much done ever buying into the Google ecosystem again. The last really Google ecosystems I have are google home and google Nest and I would be lying if I wasn’t worried about Google randomly killing off Nest and being stuck with $1k in useless cameras.

Yeah, the only two Google services I still regularly use are Gmail and YouTube. They’re the main reason I still have a Google account. I’m admittedly using a Pixel Fold right now and like it but I wouldn’t put it past Google to go ahead and kill it off after a generation or two if it doesn’t pan out.

I understand the frustration. I don't have a smart home. Just have a regular digital thermostat, but you don't need to have everything Google.
My home cameras are Arlo. I don't have Google earbuds or Chromecast/TV. I use other brands. Have a FireTV box,...three actually and everything works fine together.

I have until September 5th to return the 7 Pro. I don't know what to do. The 8 Pro is sounding really nice, but I'm worried there might be a price hike.
Didn't you go from Nothing 2 to 7 to 7 Pro and now 8?! Buying a 7 Pro at this point in the year seems a bit crazy to me. I'd return it.

How many phones have you gone through this summer? LOL

Nothing Phone 2
S23 Ultra
Pixel 7
Pixel 7 Pro

Thought you loved the Nothing P2? And the S23 Ultra was the greatest smartphone ever? But you got rid of both.

I'm teasing, but seriously return the 7 Pro and wait for the Pixel 8 Pro with a flatter and brighter screen, and supposedly more efficient hardware.

I've had the Pixel 7 Pro since launch, and for sure getting the 8 Pro. Maybe the regular 8 due to the smaller size and now will have a 120hz screen and similar [H]ardware as the 8 Pro. But will wait to hear the official word

Lol, I know. I went a bit phone crazy these last few months. But I just have the 7 Pro and my iPhone, and I will be sticking to just that combo for a while. I’m a very indecisive person.

Okay, you have convinced me.

Trust me, you'll be kicking yourself a month from now when the 8 Pro comes out, and you didn't exchange / return the Pixel 7 Pro.

Return the 7 Pro, wait a month and get the brand new next generation better 8 Pro

I'm happy we can help ..and you're not indecisive..you enjoy tech like most of us and there are great choices to pick from with these releases ...end of day you're a Pixel over Samsung person which is understandable...I wonder if trade ins will be better from Google this year ? We shall see
