I'm also not a Samsung person. Gotta say the Galaxy 2 Chromebook is a very fine machine (though the support site is really lame).

Definitely overpriced for the "higher" end i3 processor model. I think their phones are also too expensive.

If my OnePlus 8T 12/256 GB keeps on going I'll hold out for Pixel 9, maybe (in hopes it ends up with less Samsung innards)

OnePlus 12 not too far around the corner either

Sure hope these prices aren't true? Major price hike on the Pixel 8 lineup, going up $200+ for each model.

Regular Pixel 8 128GB for $850 and the 128GB Pixel 8 Pro starting @ $1,200, the 256GB 8 Pro $1,300!!

Ugh no way I'm paying that Google.

Nooooo. If that is the case, I will stick to my 7 Pro. I honestly love the phone, and I don't want to pay over 1k for a phone anymore.

I’d be VERY surprised if the price went up that much. All the leaks point to this being just a small upgrade as per 6 to 7.

There’s no way their whole business model of keeping costs down for a flagship experience will suddenly go out of the window for the Pixel 8, which honestly just looks like more of the same.

Today midrange phones run pretty darn good.

Seriously, at the end of the day a $449 Pixel 7a vs. $850 Pixel 8, what's the real world difference in typical daily tasks, like phone calls, texts, emails, surfing the web and social media?

I'm not talking [H]ardcore benchmarks and gaming, but just daily usage. Would there be a night and day difference between a 7a and 8?

I sure hope the 8 Pro isn't what the 7 Pro was to the 6 Pro, meaning a barely noticeable sidegrade at best, with the same poor battery life and similar bad modem and dim screen. But all the leaks are pointing to the Tensor 3 being just that, a minor upgrade and not much changing besides the flat screen and incremental hardware improvements.

Heck I might actually recommend the cheaper $449 Pixel 7a over the $850 Pixel 8 / $1200 Pixel 8 Pro. ( sure hope these aren't the real prices? ).

Still think there won't be an amazing Pixel phone until 2025 when they release the Pixel X built from TSMC custom hardware and no more Samsung hardware / modem.

The Pixel X will be a massive leap forward in hardware. Until then it will all just be Pixel 6 part 2, 3, and 4.

Yeah no chance this is real.

I bet we see a 50-100 increase nothing more. Not from a good source at all and they are quoting a site that says in stock 26.09 lol

Does anyone know any rumors on PWM with the new Pixel screens? Just curious if any OEM is going to start addressing the issue. A ton of Chinese OEMs have already upgraded their screens so why can't Apple, Google, and Samsung do it to?

I am very excited about this year's Pixel 8 Pro. I am hoping that we get a great flat screen with at least double PWM to like 480 or higher, a much improved Tensor processor, ufs 4.0, ddr 5x, better camera sensors(larger), and louder deeper speakers, better battery life, less thermal throttling and heat issues.

Lol, I know. I went a bit phone crazy these last few months. But I just have the 7 Pro and my iPhone, and I will be sticking to just that combo for a while. I’m a very indecisive person.

Okay, you have convinced me.
Living the dream!

For me, it’s not so much a matter of indecision as it is insatiable curiosity driving me to want to try them all.

But…I am a little befuddled how I’m going to handle the Pixel 8 Pro. I’m getting everything out of the Pixel experience that I want from my Pixel 7a. The camera isn’t flagship level, no, but it’s quite good. I’m quite content.

The phone itself is so ridiculously adorable! I think getting an 8 Pro might land me with more phones than even I can play with. 😮

I put a lot of thought into getting that 7a. And what I felt it represented out of the Pixel experience to me. And I got what I wanted. Lol and for under $300 if I remember correctly. Plus 2 free great cases!

That was such a satisfying purchase. 😁

I’m going to have to do a lot of thinking.

Really not sure on this blue colour. Odd choice.
It looks cheap. I'm all for more interesting colours, but this one is just a bit jarring! Especially after Sorta Sunny and Hazel!

Exactly. I'm more than happy with my Samsung Galaxy A34. Does everything I need it to without any hiccups whatsoever.
