I had the Panda, loved it.

White for me and that's the one I've still got. The ONLY phone I've ever kept hold of from having it brand new; bought outright from Carphone Warehouse here in the UK for c£800

Still use it now; it's still a superb camera IMO

Just a shame I can't update it any more now

Always wanted a 4XL but never got round to it. If I could find a decent used one, I might still try picking one up to play around with.

Wasn't this the one with the huge notch and 'proper' face unlock Ala FaceID? Wish they'd bring it back.

Looks like the Black color is the only one with matte black non shiny edges / side? If so then that's the one I want, as I can't stand the cheesy looking and cheap looking glossy smudgy sides, those looks outdated and fugly.

Again, just look above at the classic Pixel 4 XL, that design with the black sides / frame is CLASSIC, and looks so nice.

Call me nitpicky but I'm disappointed after seeing that both the pixel 8 and 8 pro do not have symmetrical bezels, really I'd prefer slightly thicker bezels all around to be honest if that is the price to pay. I still can't believe that the pixel 5 had symmetrical bezels and they regressed :/

That pink tone looks great, I hope is not only exclusive to pixel 8

Especially as this years iPhones are getting even smaller even bezels.

the bezels to me are much like the notch on my 14 PM.....i only notice it if I am reminded it is there. Otherwise it is a non issue during normal use. The bezels are the same to me. I only notice them when someone points them out to me. Otherwise it is a non issues during normal everyday use.

I must be the odd man out, smartwatches do not interest me one bit. Apple watch, Galaxy watch, Pixel watch, etc...doesn't matter I would never get one.

I don't like wearing jewelry on my body, or anything on me. Never wore any watch my entire life. Except tattoos, I do have several LOL

If I carry my phone on me most the time, or it's right nearby me on my desk, what's the point of a smartwatch?

I've been using a pixel 7 for work for the last 3 weeks and damn material UI is so pretty I love it, I also know mthat apple notifications are BAD but I had forgotten how bad they are compared to android's.

I know it is a small detail but I miss being able to tap on the status bar and having the phone scroll al the way to the top of the screen, why can't google copy this behaviour? 🧐 Maybe apple patented it.

I miss having airdrop, it is very useful for casting shows to my tv and casting music to my sonos speaker, I know Google has Chromecast but you have to buy extra hardware for that... unacceptable.

Youtube Music... those animations are so choppy AF. The app is dropping frames left and right, that is the kind of stuff from Google that upsets me, how can they not take proper care of their own apps... I use Youtube Music on my Iphone and all the animations are smooth.

I also love (not) how using google maps makes the whole screen switch to 60 hz, if you are using google maps and open the notification bar, it is displayed in 60 hz, this is seriously kind of a deal breaker since I use google maps every single day to check for bike routes/check out train schedules.

I'm very close to ordering a pixel 8 pro when it comes out, but I'm having second thoughts now

Hits all the points I have been talking about for months now. I can add Hopefully ufs 4.0 storage to the mix as well.

I really think if Google keeps the pricing close to last year, if the Tensor G3 can perform while not heating up like a toaster, if the screen and cameras are better, battery life is better then we have the potential for a really good Pixel phone.

All the naysayers who are going to wait until 2025 if the rumors hold true for TSMC to produce Tensor good luck.
Google potentially offering longer software support is another incentive.

Let's see what happens. Exciting times for Pixel fans.

Will the 8 Pro have ufs 4.0? I hope so.

If things don’t work out for me with the 15 Pro Max I’ll probably swing by and give the 8 Pro a try in the winter or spring. I hope by then they’ll have them on display somewhere so I can see if I have issues with the display without having to go through a purchase and return process.

Best Buy has usually had them up. But it’s not always a sure thing that all the display models will be operable. My local Best Buy pushes Samsung and Apple products and kind of lets Pixels fend for themselves off on one piddling narrow shelf. The phones are often dead.

I thought it was funny Google are doing black, grey, blue and white just like the iPhone Pro series, and then a light pink for the less expensive one. Did the designers and marketers for Google and Apple all get together for drinks and collude on color palettes this year? 😆

Color wise, I wish I could collect all the pink phones from the new releases to go with my S23 Ultra and its lavender pink shade. But pink isn’t on the phones with the zoom lenses this year.

Sorry, I don’t think I could ever bring myself to get a grey Pixel again. My Stormy 6 Pro was too somber looking at a time of my life that really was somber AND we literally were under endless days of thick dark grey cloud cover. 😣 I respect that the serious shades are always well executed by Google, but it’s just not my vibe for Pixel.

I really miss those pixels with colorful buttons and contrasting color schemes. I have a case on my silver 12 Pro Max that gives me a bit of that fun again.

My black camera visor protector on my coral pixel 7a is holding up very nicely. Maybe someday I will make a Panda Pixel with one of those.
