Anyone else noticing a pink tint in low brightness?

Want to stress that this is only a thing when it's dark. No issues when in normal usage.

Congratulations to you lot on the latest purchases.

I’m following this thread as a prospective Pixel 8a owner, assuming Google launches one. My usage means I can’t really justify buying an 8 or an 8 Pro, although the increased support is going to make these more desirable on the used market.

Sorry to hear @BMox81
Let us know what you end up doing.

In other news, my screen protector and my case just arrived. I went with a Spigen screen protector and it's pretty bad. It has black borders around the glass and I think it's eating into the screen a little. It had one of those plastic moudks to line the protector up perfectly, but I don't think it has.

The case was a clear one from Amazon and it is awful. It'll do for now when I go out and about but think I may go for an official Google one.

Anyone else noticed the "at a glance" weather doesn't seem to update? Weather app is fine but the widget is always wrong info.

Seems to update when i add the weather widget to the homescreen though....

Its going back.

I've gone into the Photos app and there is certain flickering going on which my wife agreed was happening. So between that and the tint, I can't accept that.

Such a shame.

Ughh man sorry to hear it …get that phone switched out immediately..sucks

Sorry to hear that, get it replaced, you'll 100% get a new one!

I had a problem with a brand new Pixel 6 when it launched from Google. I would see static on the screen and when in camera mode i'd get these black checkerboard squares showing up. It never affected the photo but I saw it on my end. Google sent me a new replacement and it solved all the problems.

Glad to hear Google have made some strides forward in hardware to match their always great software. Seems like they still need to figure out thermals, although they’re making progress.

Does anyone else think AI might give Google a huge leg up on Apple and Samsung in the future? If they fully integrate Bard along with their search engine, it could be really special. Or really scary, depending on how you look at it. I can’t see Apple or Samsung keeping pace in that regard.

I just can’t get excited about that watch. They’re actually using a modern chipset now, but it’s still one size which is way too small for a lot of us. And it still has insanely large bezels which Google is great at hiding in promo shots but that doesn’t mean they’re aren’t there.

Now that the reviews of the 8 Pro are so good it's almost upsetting they don't offer the Pro in the size of the smaller 8. And the price is also a bit too much for someone who has no use for the watch and can't trade-in an older Pixel (they are handed down in the family). Not to mention that the new feature for measuring temperature is useless.

The Pixel 4 will just have to do until I can get something as small to replace it with.

You can always sell the watch to offset some of the cost but I would wait for deals to come later this year I'm sure there will be some good ones ... definitely I have no use for that temperature measurement although I feel they are just tapping the surface with it now...
