I have no idea why you got those speeds, specially at the T mo store but something ain't right.

I have a Pixel 8 Pro and I live in the mountains in Las Vegas. In fact, I live at the very edge of buildings before there is nothing but hills and Lake Mead. So cell reception here is terrible until you get down the mountain a ways.

My cell reception is not great using my s23 ultra or Pixel. But I get 36 MBPS in this area on my Pixel 8 Pro. So I would not say that what you observed is even close to normal. 2 GBPS? Really. No way.
No issues here. Is nearly matching speeds with my other devices on my local T-Mobile network. Even if it is a touch slower, I have not hit a wall that indicates my phone is slow.

I’m on T-Mobile also not experiencing any slowdowns anything slower than my iPhone, or other phones that I’ve had previously… I think this is the best Pixel ever released… and I’m only on day one lol… comfortable to hold . Perfect, the brightness is good really really happy.

New batch of photo tests uploaded.

Pixel 8 holds it's own in my shooting style, pixel 3 is still amazing me!

Notes on the new image sets
  1. BANG! No focal point was touched, let the camera do what it wanted. Pixel 8 was closest to reality in color and exposure
  2. Coffee - Pixel 3, 7a and 13 pro closest to true color
  3. Coffee shop interior 1 - Pixel 7A closest in true color
  4. Outdoor brewery - All did well in color reproduction
  5. Beer shot - I liked all Pixel phones color temperature and say it was closer to reality
  6. Inside coffee shop - Pixel 7a and 8 were closest. iPhones too warm
  7. Beer and overhead gantry - 15 pro captured exposure and colors more accurately.
  8. Inside Coffee shop. Pixel 3 used ultra wide FRONT camera, 7a was closest to color for my eye
  9. Inside brewery - Pixel 8 was best for color and best shot IMO
  10. Beer - Pixel 8 and 15 were close, 8 Pro wins for focus
  11. Beer in light - My angle was different. I can’t pick a winner because photos were in different spots
  12. And 13 - Buildings and clouds - I would say iPhone was more accurate, but I like both shots for different reasons.
  1. Green space - Both too close for me to decide. Both similar on color profile.

So what kind of damage are the screen protectors with the black outline producing? I did a search as well as going on YT and couldn't find any complaints.
Ya I second this question.

I have an unopened box of the Spigen screen protectors for my 8 Pro, but haven't put one on yet because some people were saying they are bad and physically mess up the glass border of the screen?

So whats the scoop. Can someone please elaborate further, and maybe show some proof to back up those claims?

I forgot to add that. I will respond after reviewing my audio notes lol

::EDIT:: @Bkdodger I edited the post to outline what I noted in the field.

Long story short, the newest phones are so dang close, it almost comes down to personal opinion these days. So good overall.

This phone is performing better than my P7.
The few webpages that froze up 90% of the time so far haven't.on this one.

The fingerprint sensor works as well though it hasn't been 100% . But since I've redone my thumb print it has been better. I made a thumb and index 👉 print.

The P7 was too quick to time out for me to even make a print but I managed to get a couple after multiple tries and the sensor just didn't work on it.

Well ouch. I probably shouldn't have. Been very hesitant of making frivolous purchases on myself... Hopefully it wasn't a dumb purchase like I've seem to be prone to anymore

Nova launcher with nothing icons scrolling dock couple of folders on the second dock page... Btw 4-hour screen on time with 45% left on battery...
Nothing™ Ear headphones are my goto platform independent headphones these days. Almost got the phone 2, just really want to stick with Google for stock Android. Maybe the Nothing phone 3?

I have to say I really like my 8 Pro. It's just comfortable and I like Material UI, and how the gestures and navigating the OS is.

It seems like a bigger upgrade from the 7 Pro. The nice flat screen and better [H]ardware seem more evident, it's just a better overall phone no question. This isn't just a side - grade to me. But it's not night and day better, no phone is nowadays, but it's a decent upgrade still.

I've noticed the same thing. Tapatalk Pro is no longer available and is the only app that did not copy over ...where can we find that apk ? Hmmm
I would like to know this too. A Google search brought up versions that have been modified, not sure if I trust those.....

Yeah, I would like to know this too, as that is the type of screen protector I have and prefer, though mine isn't sitting perfectly flush, it is lifting around the edges, but I'm keeping it on because I don't want any scratches and the Spigen was going to be my next option.
