Becareful with getting a Pixel Fold, those like me who bought the original where abandoned by Google very quickly, and it will more than likely in my view be the same... so paying £1800 $1800 means nothing to Google sorry to say..
I feel you my friend. It's funny isn't it as we normally don't get new pixels until sept / Oct and now we have them in August and we're still not happy waiting 😁.Ordered the Pixel 9 Pro XL Obsidian!
Now the waiting is the hardest part.....

I just checked Best Buy as well, they are offering $999 for the S24+ plus a $200 BB gift card when ordering the 9 Pro XL. That is a seriously sweet deal. I love my S24+ but wow, not sure I can pass up that trade in value.Google store only offering $650 trade-in for my S24 Ultra. Where Best Buy says $1,000.
At this point I'm just going to wait for the phones to be out in store next week and walk in and try to get one. I'm not going to pre-order right now.
Cuz I'm really conflicted on going smaller for once. I would like to at least hold the pixel 9 Pro in hand before making my decision where I've always gone with the XL larger version for years and years. I might want to go a little bit smaller but just not sure yet.
I need to stop watching videos of the Pixel Fold. Good GOD it looks like an absolute home run.
It is upsetting that Google have broken away from Techtember and Techtober 😁.It's a good month of August over here.. two phones for the month it's early Christmas in New York
Kudos to Google in the US for the trade-ins for their loyal customersWell, so much for rumors. We were being told the starting price for the XL was going to be $1199, trade in prices would be low and no freebies and then we learned that trade in prices were actually quite high and Google gave away a $200 store credit.

Techgust doesn't have the same ring.
Yup. $200 in store credit, plus another $136 as I get 10% of the total purchase in Google Store credit with my Google One membership is not a bad deal at all. And $699 for my P8P is better than I'd get trying to sell or trade it anywhere else. Not bad at all. It was too tempting for me to pass up.Well, so much for rumors. So finally had some time to read up on the new devices--Pixel 9 Pro Fold (alright, not using that entire name anymore) seems like it has some terrific upgrades/updates vs. the first PF. Wish it used the same cameras as the standard Pro phones but understand thinness may be a limiting factor. Otherwise, looks like a great improvement in most areas.
Only thing I'm genuinely disappointed about for all the new Pixels is lack of Qi2 wireless charging. Actually, they could've just ripped off and copied the MagSafe magnets from Apple and stuck with standard Qi and I'd have been OK. It would be nice to use any of my MagSafe chargers and accessories.
It's funny I haven't had any heating issues with P7P or P8P .. I've always wanted a little bit more battery but that's always the case with most of my phones lol.. I'm sure I will be there for P10P as wellenjoy your new Pixels folks.
Hoping that the Pixel 10 series with the next Tensor SoC (which will be made by TSMC this time) solves the heat and battery life issues they've had at least since the series 6.
Really wonderful devices otherwise.
