So I have a 15PM and I’m either going to the 16P or the Pixel 9 Pro. My concern is the rest of the Apple ecosystem in my house: IPP M4, Mac mini and M2 MacBook Air. Can I get the Puxel to play nicely?

I've got rid of my 15PM and AWU and solely on my Pixel Fold now and zero issues

Photo's are stored in Google Photos, email is Gmail, Google Drive there if I need to share docs from iCloud and vice-versa etc...

No issues with my M2 Mini Pro or MBA etc :)

It's basically a 100% guarantee that I will be swapping to the 9 Pro and my wife is having the 9, will sell my S24U and her S24 to pay towards.

I've done some side by side pics of the garden, our cats and my BMW with my S24U and Pixel Fold, simply point n shoot pictures

Let them upload to Google Photos and then showed them my wife...

She preferred the PF pictures over the S24U and that's apparently got much, MUCH better cameras... 🤔

Another reason I'm happy to stick with Google Pixel ;)

I exclusively use MacBooks as my laptops and never been an issue when I have an Android phone, everything is easily accessable when it's backed up with Google.

So which do you think is my S24U and Pixel 9? Both taken using the 1x camera, obviously very different weather on the 2 days but still.

It's a biiitttt of a bad comparison lol. They're totally different photos and they're also point and shoot stills.
Samsung cameras (in my experience) are ok with stills, as are most other cameras even in budget phones, but when you start getting low light, moving objects Samsung cameras fall apart.

Neither of those photos are bad.

Yeah unfortunately I took them a week apart and weather drastically changed lol. Just taken this quick one.

Depends more on the apps/services you use than the devices. If you migrate most of those to platform-agnostic choices, you gain a lot of flexibility to switch back and forth. iOS doesn't need to be all Apple and Android doesn’t need to be all Google (although Google services are a lot more cross-platform than Apple’s offerings).

The last pixel I had was the 7 pro. Then I went to the S23 ultra and now the 15PM. I’m at the point where I’m done comparing Pixels to Galaxies to see which one is better for me. I’m content on my 15PM. I racked up too much debt switching back and forth. I still owe about $200 to Samsung that won’t be paid off until early 2025 from when I had the S22+ and Tab S8.

Because both my teenage kids have iPhones, it’s much easier to keep track of them and monitor their screen time and apps. And to communicate with them, as well as my wife.

I no longer feel the pull to upgrade my phone as the 15PM is plenty of phone for me. And I have an android tablet for watching content on and playing games.

S24U and Pixel Fold shots - point n shoot

For me, the Pixel is more neutral; the S24U is superbly detailed, but it's overly bright
I think the S24U is the better picture overall but just barely. Pretty amazing picture for a foldable. The S24U really blew out the center of the plant/fern in the background but like you said the detail is amazing. Excited to see how the P9PF camera performs.

See the S24U picture for me has too many blurred parts too (Oscars tail; the fern/ficus behind etc)

You only notice if you look

But agree; the Pixel Folds camera is very good; even though it may not be the best, it does very well indeed and will suffice for 95% of users in the real world

She had a run in with a couple posters and it turned personal in PM messages. She had a lot on her plate at the time with the health of some family members. So she decided to take a break from public forums. GM is a good person and a very caring individual :)
Always enjoyed her posts and personality injecting some personal conversation into these forums. Wish she'd come back but understand her reasoning for stepping away.

I will either fully swap from my 15 PM and the Apple ecosystem to the pixel 9 pro XL, or use to pixel alongside my iPhone, but one thing holding me back from swapping is the Apple Watch. Have you found a good android equivalent?

I’m in a similar boat and after having tried making the full switch away from the Apple ecosystem that it just doesn’t work for me, considering I’m not giving up my Mac or iPad Pro and all of my family are heavy Apple users. I’m going to lean into using my Pixel 9 Pro Fold heavily on my second line for everything except messaging and phone calls (most daily work and personal contacts use iPhones) and stay connected to my iPhone with my Apple Watch Ultra (on a cellular plan). I use my Apple Watch for so much that nothing can fully replace it for me.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra seems to be closest to an Apple Watch so if you leave Apple fully, that’s going to be your best bet. It’s what I would choose.

Yes; as per my sig, I'm running the Samsung Gaalxy Watch Ultra now and it's superb

Works perfectly with my Pixel Fold too... Did have it paired with my S24U but that's up for sale currently

Does all I need of it; using the same functions as I did on my AWU2 etc
