What do you think? Can anyone compare theirs 9-series to 8?

I wouldn't worry too much initially. I feel like this is a repeated issue with both Google and Apple in recent years.

I seem to recall some strange image issues with the 8 pro early after launch. I swore my 7a took better general wide pictures with less noise. Later updates felt like it resolved it in software.

I took it while inside my car, saw the coyote and grabbed my phone real quick, had to zoom in to see it better

I also had no idea there was a frog in the weather app 😂.

Does anyone use T-Mobile Digits still? I'm using my main E-SIM in my iPhone and 2nd SIM in my Pixel. With Digits I can make and receive calls on the Pixel from my main number. BlueBubbles also forwards any SMS messages from my iPhone which is pretty cool, don't recall being able to do that before.

Can't believe I just discovered this a few days ago, I thought Digits was ancient and have not heard anything of it for many years. Now it is easier than ever dual wielding two phones without worrying about (E)SIM switching nonsense.

Tune in radio uninstall it and see how your battery behaved.

That app is using way too much juice for a radio app. It could be doing something it shouldn't. If it is a free app then it may have malvertising in the adds that are doing stuff. Scan your phone but either way uninstall the app and see what happens.

I know it may have been something you used for a long time but just looking at it's usage on battery is way too high. App might just need an update but it is your problem I bet on it!

A corruption in the update is rare but possible. It could be a error in the download more likely. If you had other odd happenings like force closing apps or other behaviors I would think it is an update but after looking at your battery history it is most likely a bad app and nothing else.
Just an update on this, the battery life has become more stable and edging more closer to how it was before installing Android 15. Perhaps there were some background processes running after the update which was causing the issue but glad it's gotten better.

@#$!@#$ the incentives continue, and got a little better. Really, really considering a swap of my beloved (I do love this phone) Pixel 8 Pro, to a smaller Pixel 9 device.

I am going to complete this work trip before I decide as I am contrasting watching videos on it v.s. the smaller iPhone 16 Pro. I like smaller phones, but the entertainment value (especially on flights) from a larger phone is hard to ignore.

Mods can we get a ban? 😭 😅
I tried, but I couldn't cite a current MR Rule to use as an example ;)

It seems like Google have increased the trade in value for the S24 Ultra, towards a Pixel 9 Pro Xl (at least here in the UK), it's now at £766. Am I crazy to be tempted to trade in my S24 Ultra and try the Pixel 9 Pro XL 🤔

Not going to lie I'm tempted, simply because I've read and watched many YouTube videos that have said the Pixel 9 is so much better than even the 8 Pro. The Tensor chip seems to have improved along with battery life.

What will you do when the s25u ultra comes out?

I love Pixel but I think the s25u ultra is going to be pretty cool. The new snapdragon chip seems like it might be really good.

If I were you I would wait for Pixel 10 or whenever they switch to TSMC.

I have the P8P and I am just going to hold off for now.

Still I think the Pixel 9 Pro you can't go wrong with. Seems like a great phone!!

True, I could wait and see what the trade in deals are like for my S24 Ultra towards the 25 Ultra.

Revisiting a 9 Pro again because I got a bit tired of all bugs and issues with 16 Pro Max.

Some high res shots with this phone.
