This is crazy. Mine went from 6/27-7/3 window to 6/27-6/28 to 8/2-8/10 and now it's at 7/6-7/13. While improved, I may still cancel. Hopefully things will settle back to the original dates. I'll be out of town that first week of July and really don't want it delivered while i'm not there to accept it. Starting to kinda lose my excitement for the device. Somehow Google almost always figures out a way to screw up Pixel launches.
I like the look of it but can’t go Motorola again …just updates and other minor stuff turns me off
releasing the device so long after the announcement really makes it lose it's edge

Preorder date is very different from delivery date.That is a treason.
But for real, is it usual to deliver prior actual launch day?
This is the biggest mess for pre-order I ever seen for mobiles.
3 times changed for delivery dates and it is more to come. As usual, we will never know the reason or explanation why the promise adherence dates kept moving.
Hard thing to believe is that this whole havoc shows its arrogance playing with feelings of high value paying customers.
I still have not cancelled my order yet and started to self-doubt if I become one of those fanboy which I always avoid to become.

It wouldn’t be a Google release if they didn’t botch the preorders in some way.
I thought from the outset the two month preorder window was absurd. It’s really off putting to me. I hovered in the preorder button for a while but as a consumer, I’m sick of preordering and even more sick when it’s months not weeks. 2-3 weeks sure. It seems Google really must be using the preorder period to gauge demand for the device which frankly is probably really low given the absurd price. I’m waiting for ATT to do the $1000 off but my biggest concerns remains the battery life. Might just wait it out for reviews. My Fold 4 has terrible battery life compared to my iPhone like half. Many people argue just charge it midday but each charge takes up a charge cycle so if I have to charge a phone twice a day I’ve reduced the useful life of the battery by half. I need a phone to get 5 to 6 SOT and last 18 hours which is something very few android phones can do.
My order shows the same date fluctuations as well. I decided to cancel my order and get a pixel 7a instead and just wait for everyone else to be the beta testers for the first foldable from Google. I have a z Flip 4 / iPhone 14 pro and will wait to see how Moto's and Samsung's flips and foldables are for the 5th generation. No need for me to rush to a decision on the phone. I also feel that Google could have waited and had this come out alongside the Pixel 8 with the newer tensor G3 anyway. I will save $1799 and can decide later if the pixel fold is worth it are not.
And if anything like the Folds, they’ll be selling on Swappa for $1100 within a month of release. The smart play is definitely to wait although I often don’t follow my own advice.
Never been a gen 1 kinda guy. I literally always wait for the next one, like steam deck....yeah I'll wait for 2.0 there lol. And such for all my electronics. But this is the most excited I've been about a phone in awhile. Possibly because every phone now is just a slightly better camera and chip....that's it. I've never had a foldable phone, nor do I own a tablet, so this is brand new ground for me and an actual different type of phone. Im not a fan of Samsung, plus the Z fold form factor has not been it, from afar. But this manages to have a form factor i can already tell i will love.
So having real excitement again for a phone it's why I'll keep my pre-order, and get my first ever gen 1 phone lol. I also come from a Pixel 6, so tensor 2 and such don't bother me, it's all still an upgrade for me

I randomly went to check the pixel fold 512 model, to see how pushed back it was, and saw this
That's the same date that my 256gigs is. Originally I had cancelled my 512 for the 256 because 256 was June and 512 was August....I'm thinking of changing it now....
