I turned my phone off when I went to bed, so when I woke up I turned it on. That should count as a reboot

It was an interesting morning, had to take my 2 year old for her first haircut, first time going there and back so I used my gps, once there I also used my unfolded screen to distract her while watching Kiki's delivery service, so she would let the lady cut her hair lol. I also took pics of her new haircut. Another thing I tried was that I put on my pixel watch that I got for free with this phone, so that was also connected via Bluetooth, unsure if that uses battery. So yeah, real life happened, real use of the unfolded screen, gps, pics, watch, and yeah I had 5g on (it was the default choice), and 2-3 hours in, almost half battery. Not saying every day will look like this, but still. Kinda concerned. Hoping 1 week in adaptive battery helps, and yeah, maybe I should keep LTE. I'll probably keep location off too till I need it. Not a fan of taking all these steps to keep battery in xhexk.

Ps: just got home and it's 54%

Congrats on that first haircut! Always a nice moment .. hopefully the battery settles in a little bit. TBH, I don't expect this to be a battery champ going in but definitely would like to see some normal usage without draining excessively... Coming from the S23U I'm spoiled so it's kind of hard to impress me once I get more heavy days in..

I'm finding that a little bit of 5g, of Maps/gps usage, and unfolded screen usage, gets it pretty hot and kills my battery. I woke up at 8am today, it's 10:53am, I'm down to 63%. I wonder if I should go LTE to save battery View attachment 2226426

Anyhow, not great
This is why I wish they would have waited on G3. Heck, with the lead times of the Fold, they could have.

I stayed with gboard... It's been running normal for me. I have SwiftKey or whatever you call it but I've not even installed yet

It's nice having a foldable device when you're using apps like Flipboard.. can't wait for the day where all the apps play nicely

So I was going through opening all the apps I downloaded to see how many apps were optimized for the screen. I only got through half of them (305 apps installed ) but I was surprised at how many were optimized.

Ooo heck yeah the PlayStation app is optimized for the fold!! LOL.

I had it on in my pixel 6, and it kept it on with the transfer. I double tap the back to open YouTube, I use it a lot

I forgot about it and just turned on for screenshots for now till I find something more useful haha

How has your battery life been?
Funny you ask because for me and my normal use, better than the fold 4 by a noticable margin. When I get home from work I'm usually around 40% on my battery with the fold 4. Only had one work day so far but when I came home I was at 58-60% and that's with my normal use.

Still have to see how it goes but so far it's way better. Also, everything is snappier with this OS. I know the tensor 2 chip is apparently pretty old but everything works much faster so far. It's very slick and smooth. I've loved the Samsung folds for years but this really shows how sort of amature the One UI is.

Edit: Amature might be harsh and I do love the Samsung folds but this OS feels very apple-like in its smoothness. Its very noticeable.

That's good to hear!
