Overall a good experience on the first day. Not really testing the battery today. Had the phone off and on the charger. Couple of the small minor gripes like always the same thing. I'd still like better brightness control with the auto brightness. That's still a miss in my opinion and at one point I was outside and it was looking really good for viewing them. All of a sudden it lowered and I couldn't see it anymore. I think that's a thing from Google. I saw it in a video somewhere. Smh: had the phone spaz out on me two times. Maybe I was working too fast lmao.. screen got black on me and took a little bit before it came back but overall the phone is running smoothly

Haha this was a whirlwind!

Earlier I was on a call with my mom and had the phone unfolded just browsing chrome it was awesome!

Battery update I took the phone off charge at 6:30am and now at 2:28 I have 60%. I also did have it charging for about 10 minutes on the way to work via Android auto.

Also for some reason I'm not seeing the cinematic wallpaper option on this phone (it's updated already)

Any reason why I'm not seeing the option for live wallpaper? I have the same wallpaper and it was live on pixel 6 and not here, the option doesn't appear. No video options either on the bottom screen when I have it on table top mode

It says I'm on the June update and I see the emoji workshop so I should be good software wise

I haven't taken to much of a dive into those settings yet. Not sure why it wouldn't be there.

Let me know if it's not just me

I watched this and it's not working for me as such:

The live wallpaper is weird as well
Ok just tested both and the feather wallpaper isn't doing anything and I'm not seeing those video controls in tabletop mode. Interesting.

Right? Kinda strange huh, literally I have the same wallpaper on my pixel 6, and there it gives me the option to make it Live, but not here. And tabletop mode totally doesn't do what they show in that video lol

Edit: good point about the feather wallpaper too

They look to be very good pictures..

Unless you're a huge pro photographer or a social media king/queen... IMO the camera is going to be as good as you'll ever need...

Hell I only take pictures of my car, our cats and maybe when we're out and about haha

I do love the macro capabilities on my 14 PM but I use them once in a blue moon!

I think I’m going back to my iPhone 14 Pro 🤦🏻 I love this pixel but it’s so hard to switch from iOS after all these years. Im also using the outside screen 90% of the time so might as well have a normal phone plus iPad I guess.

Argh. This is one if my main concerns. Apple was really smart building out that ecosystem over the years. In 2013-4 or so, I had no real problem with switching between a Nexus 5 and an iPhone 5s, apart from iMessage. Now - iMessage groups with family, Find my, air tags, Apple Watch, HomePods, Apple TV, parental controls for the kids' iPad, iCloud, Notes, Keychain passwords, and all of the apps that I have cultivated and tuned to my preference over 10 years makes it a real struggle.

I might try picking up a cheap Pixel to see if I can replicate as many of these parts of Apple's ecosystem as I can, then maybe pick up a Fold when they are more available and cheaper.

That’s whats been happening with me, I used to spend my time close to 50/50 with Android and iOS but as the year went on it has been shifting more and more time to iOS due to all the other things included. Really want to use a foldable as my main phone but so far I haven’t been able to make it stick for a longer period.

Okay I'm starting to get annoyed that simple stuff isn't working, I have split screen, fb messenger on one side, google photos on another, I drag a picture from photos to messenger, to send said picture as advertised, and I get an error....won't send

Might be a dumb question but do we know why the camera isn't as good as the Pixel 7 Pro? Is it hardware? Sorry haven't paid much attention to this phone prior to the release.
Smaller sensors due to space constraints. Still a very good camera. Much better than Fold4.

It may be that not all apps support it yet. I've seen the drag and drop work between Google apps but it may be on FB and other developers to add the capability to their apps.
