Just got mine, only now setting it up. But I love this form factor. Like the Surface Duo, but much more comfortable to hold. The outer display is so much better than the Fold 4. Build quality extremely well done, no issues with the crease on mine, very comparable to the Fold 4.

I've been using mine all day since getting it at 2. With setup and everything I'm at 20% battery right now and I believe my phone had 69% when I turned it on for the first time.

Battery got chewed up pretty fast while setting up and downloading all my apps but it's settled in fairly well this evening. It should still get better over the coming days. I've got a little over an hour SOT with the battery still at 84% after my first full charge.

Well my friends. I'm finally set up and running full mode on my Pixel fold. I have to say the form factor and build is excellent. .. I love the size and my Latercase is a perfect fit and snug... The crease down the middle is about the same as previous fold phones for me. It's a non-event... I like that the phone doesn't close that little extra degree because it feels good. Like I have a little book in my hand. At least that's the perception in my bad eyes haha.. There's no screen protector on the outside factory installed.. Nice having the fingerprint reader on the power button and I'm using the face unlock for when the phone is folded , but you can't use the face unlock when the phone is open... I install Nova and have it running but the only small thing I haven't been able to tweak it the way I want between having the screen lay out one way on the inside and then seeing it different on the outside. I think that's still a problem that we're dealing with folding phones and third party launchers.. I'm also trying to get used to the multitasking and the dock as a few times swiping between the two got me all crossed up lol ... But I do love Google's implementation of the dock.. As we all know so many apps are still not optimized for foldable phones and one of the things that irks me from when I was using the Samsung foldables and still the same which we knew coming in was an issue ... So either use the website for those apps or pair them with another app to use the whole screen. But I feel like you lose out on some viewing area unfortunately...

I am in love with this phone! So nice to have a smaller form factor phone again.

The one thing that was weird is when I copied my data over from my 14 pro it didn't let copy my messages or apps. I had a backup of my 7 Pro when I had it in May and that didn't show up either. Google definitely has some major room for improvement in the backup and restore area.

Yep I agree on the apps not being optimized being a pain. Luckily I use the front screen about 70-80% of the time. It's a non issue for me on most apps like social media, etc as they are perfectly fine on the outer display. Where the inner display is most beneficial for me is consuming media and productivity. Really helps me when working with construction drawings, emails, etc. I even remote into my work PC. Couldn't care less how social media looks but it would be nice to see the apps fixed. The one thing I am already missing is the s-pen but it's a fair trade off for the much better outer display.

I think we will see developers get on board now that Google has made the commitment to foldables. That alone makes this potentia very important device for the future of foldables.

I see Google has messed up this launch like so many other times. No product to buy and auto cancelling of pre-orders. They just can’t do hardware very well. Very few have apparently been shipped and we are already seeing screen issues…lol. Google FTW. I hope those of you that spend $1800 on this have good luck with the device because Google support is horrible.

First impressions. I love it. I needed help to set it up at the shop but everyone was so kind. I am sure I will have some problems but so be them. I have a couple of months to live and am really happy that I got to try it to, and so is my wife.
Awesome love that you have it in hand and get to enjoy it ...we look forward to your thoughts on the device once daily using it

Has anyone fitted a front screen protector; tempered glass etc?

I'm seriously considering the Pixel Fold; it's a smaller front screen, but wider which suits me best due to shovel like hands... But I cannot run a phone without a screen protector as my fingers are rough, with the use of chalk in training, and I cannot stand marked screens!

I'm very tempted to go for an early upgrade on my phone contract with the Pixel Fold (when back in stock); the Z Fold 5 may tempt me too, but so far, the Pixel is leading the pack...

I'll be selling my IP 14PM and AWU as in all honesty, the latter isn't getting used that much and I want to get back to Android as my daily driver

I bought a Spigen tempered glass ez fit a screen protector. I'm putting it on as soon as I take phone off the box. My phone gets here today, I'll let you know how it goes. But I'm putting screen protector+case the instant I get my phone
