I don't really get the love for wireless charging. It's incredibly slow. People already complain about the fold normal charging speeds with 30W, I can't imagine with a wireless charger
I personally don’t often have a need for lots of charging to my phones over short durations so the convenience of just dropping my phone onto a wireless stand has more value. I have then scattered around the house and nearly all are upright style so I can charge my phone and have it upright and viewable.

If I need a fast charge, I’ll grab that usb-c cable. Usually, that’s not the case.

When you work from home it’s easy to throw on charger and no need for fast speeds plus overnight I rather have it slow charge smartly while I sleep

But this happens automatically with adaptive charging though. My phone tells me "charging slowly, full charge by 9am" - which is when my alarm is set up to. It slow charges with adaptive charging throughout the night

I work from home too. Phone last me all day with normal use. If I use it heavy and need more battery quick, I put it on my 30w type c and in 15-30 mins I'm back at a good amount that allows me to continue through my day.

I guess I don't have y'all use case lol, I don't see the need of slow charging, only for overnight and I achieve that with adaptive charging

I have wireless chargers everywhere for all my phones and can't remember last time I used a cord lol

Been reading this thread with great interest. I've had my eye on one of these since it was launched, but I could never justify it's price.

I used to have a Fold 4 which I loved, but never really got on with the aspect ratio of the front screen. I replaced that with an S23 Ultra, along with a refurbished 14Pro Max. I loved both l, but missed not having a folding phone.

A refurbished Pixel Fold turned up on a website at £1250, still steep but a bit better on the wallet, and the 14 and the S23U have gone to make way for it. I don't regret it at all,

I love that aspect ratio, and find my self really enjoying the outer screen, also the wider inside screen, just having it open ready to watch a YouTube video in the right ratio. The bezels don't bother me as much as I thought, and they're good to hold onto I find, it near enough opens flat with some encouragement. I do find I have to making it brighter as the auto brightness has a mind of it's own. The build quality is stunning, feeling much heavier than it looks, I don't think I'll use a case, but I would love the D brand leather skin.

The camera I find is very impressive as well, and the zoom all the way up to 10x.

Another thing that annoys me is various apps not scaling on the screen, I thought the android 14 update would sort this, but it may be coming in a later update.

Over all, im thrilled with it, and looking forward to getting to know it better! I won't give an idea on battery life, because I've been on it for 2 days now 🤣

Welcome to the Pixel fold side... ... I've been using a Latercase case since release day helps with grip and covers camera bar ...

I'm on the quarterly beta for 14 and it's under apps and apps ratio

Thank you!

Really great device!

Ah, thank you, I shall take a look at that case.

That's good that it's I closed now. I wonder if it will be included in a later version of 14.

I've been trying to find a web browser I like, I find chrome not to have the smoothest scrolling sometimes.

I'm thinking by year end will be released to stable 14.. I don't see issues with Chrome on my end...another browser I like is the Samsung one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.sbrowser

Another vote here for the Samsung browser, most ‘Safari-like’ with support for content blockers, button to tap to return to top of the page, even option to have the address bar at the bottom. If you use Chrome on Windows or Mac there is an extension to sync your Chrome bookmarks to the Samsung browser as well.

Are you updated last night to beta 2 of the quarterly Android 14 FYI I think they removed the continue apps on the outside screen when folding the phone or at least I can't find it in the settings anymore lol.. I also had to do three reboots to get my Google Play store update up to September

Well crap, just read this after clicking install on my Fold for the latest beta update. I saw the option to continue apps under Display settings prior to updating, will let you know what I see after the update finishes.

Took the Pixel Fold onto a walk today, certainly is handy to have with you! And also managed to fall in a hole.

Excellent photos but I do think we need to get you different gear for your walks

I've done the walk a while back I think, but don't remember that water being there 🤣 Annoyingly I decided to leave my walking boots at home today.. as it's been quite nice weather.
