Ah yes, an app that can bypass all the Safari and other content blocking tools.
Sorry Google, this is an iPhone, not Andriod.
So you blindly use Google because?
No, thinking seriously to go back to pen and paper 🖋.....Suuuure you would. Where would you 'go'? Jitterbug? lol
Apple can make their own search engine and monetize it via ads
Ink leak? You mean it's not a Rorschach test? I see theNo, thinking seriously to go back to pen and paper 🖋.....
Oops! leaking ink... LOLView attachment 2304481
I suspect Apple did not want to give up control of user data.Because Apple is a hardware manufacturer first, they want multiple search engines to have a chance on the iPhone, iPad and Mac. Small wonder why they no to pre-installation of the Google app.
Totally agree ... Goggle represents yet another awful platform that inevitably leads us to the world of disinformation along with general data theft and monetisation of that data. Inconprehensible how and why Apple would be involved in this 9or maybe not, eh?). First thing I do on any IT system: change to DuckDuckGo (well, at least until we find out what's wrong with that one).I would leave Apple,
I just degooglized my devices as much as I could and I'm very happy
Just dealing with Apple Bugs here and there
Not using google just DuckDuckGo and sometime others . Sure they will get my infos too but at least I'm fair
and let all of them be my vultures...🦅🙄
You should email tcook@apple.com with that idea.
I forgot about those days“While Apple iPhones come with a number of Apple-created apps installed, Apple has never offered a pre-loaded third-party app, which is likely why the company did not accept Pichai's proposal.”
What about YouTube?

Technically it is accurate. The preinstalled YouTube and Google Maps apps were created by Apple but used Google services.
At the peak of the social media era too, when both FB and Twitter were rapidly investing in news….Facebook and Twitter were integrated into iPhone OS itself at one time….

Most people do not know about Scholar, I suspect. It returns better search results for academic research
Apple and Google have long had a search engine deal, with Google paying $18 to $20 billion per year to be the default search engine on Apple devices...
Well, Apple's net income was $99.803 billion for fiscal year 2022 and was $94.68 billion for fiscal year 2021.What's $15-20 Billion to Apple? No 3rd party software shipped on apple devices!
It might be closer than we think

Apple Has What It Needs to Launch Its Own Google Replacement
Apple has the wherewithal to launch its own search engine, a replacement for Google. And Microsoft even approached the company about helping make that happen. The $18 billion to $20 billion that Apple gets from Google is pure profit since Apple doesn't have to do anything except make Google the default search engine. The Google payments therefore account for around 20 percent of Apple's overall net income. That's a lot.
If Apple pays Google billions of $'s, I can very much see that happening! :OApple should agree in exchange for making Safari the default browser on Android.![]()
I honestly don’t like Google, but Google Search, Google Maps and Google Mail are the best.
