I need help with my card, I think the Gigabyte GTX 680 4GB OC have broken GPU RAM, cause I get Device Error in Bootcamp when I booting Windows 10 or 8.1 with DVI or DP:

Sounds like a bad card to me, although it would be good to test it in a different computer or on a fresh install of Windows.

I test the GV-N680OC-4GD ( http://www.gigabyte.de/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4373#ov) with original Bios and HDMI, DP and DVI works awesome on Windows 10, but when I switched to Evga Mac Bios, bad Nvidia Driver Error also Windows DeviceID Error came back -.- Is the Bios not the card, sorry!

Can Anyone confirm 100% that another GTX 680 4GB works with the Mac Bios on Windows with HDMI and DP or DVI without Errors?
I can change the GTX 680 probably in Ebay with the seller!

Yes, plenty of people in thread have done so including myself. Maybe not with your exact card model.

You don't have any other video card in the computer, do you?

I flashed the official Evga GTX 680 Mac Edition Bios.rom before. Can I make a bootable nvflash USB Stick for the Mac (Pro)? Rufus and Dos Files, need a short Tutorial, How to... I will buy another GPU Card and get the money back from the Ebay Seller, what is the best GTX 680 4GB for OS X and Bootcamp/Windows? Thanks :)

I don't want to be that guy but it seems pretty unethical for you to ask for your money back after flashing a card multiple times with firmware meant for a different card.

WTF this guy sold a gpu card that doesn't work in Bootcamp?! In the description of Ebay there was no hint for that problem with HDMI and I ask him, do the card work on Windows without problems! He said "yes" and that was a very big lie...! The Police wait for that guys to kick them out of map, who can lie and make the life of a young guy like me to a horrible hell! Laugh you have no idea about this ...

Did you try installing the latest Nvidia drivers AFTER installing the Bootcamp drivers?

Is that with exactly the same driver installation as when you tested it with a Mac ROM?

You can use nvflash in a Windows command prompt window, no need to putz around with live DOS CDs.

Dude, you said the card works "awesome" in Windows. Unless the seller listed the card as having a Mac EFI ROM then I don't understand how he's done anything wrong. If he did say it has full Mac EFI bootscreen support and it doesn't work, then why are you messing around with flashing it when you should just return it?

Something doesn't add up here.

Halt's Fresse ... I get the card back to life with safe boot and DUU (DisplayDriverUninstaller) flashed the old bak.rom. And no the guy in Ebay said the bios work in bootcamp with all connections and without problems - that is a lie! The card was broken before I flash one times!

I am confused

Is this card has dual ROM design, and originally came with the Mac EFI ROM?

Anyway, it looks like a huge card, triple slot thick.

No, the guy in Ebay sold this card as a Mac Card with Mac ROM and I test it with 3 different TV's and Monitors also Connections Type like DVI a.s.o Only the VGA Connection works with horrible flickering (60 Hz) on OS X and Bootcamp... but without Error's!? DVI, DP and HDMI show me the old Error and Crash with Nvidia Driver installed. Without Nvidia Driver, all Connections works very well...

I see, so it actually came with the Mac EFI ROM that doesn't work, and you flash it with the original ROM to safe the card.

Not really, I have bought the card for both Operating Systems ... That's why I choose a Mac Pro (Editing, Gaming, Server and so on...)

Is there some particular reason why you refuse to answer any questions from people who try to help you?

Yes I don't think this card is a good candidate for the Mac EFI. Many/most cards work, but a few don't and this particular card is very different from reference.

Why would you buy a flashed card then when it doesn't work right re-flash it yourself. Wouldn't it have been a lot cheaper to buy an unfleshed card (ideally an eVGA reference design) & flashed it yourself?

Maybe it was MVC spreading fake horror stories about his ebay competitors? Heh heh.

In my experience Gigabyte like to make silent revisions to reference designs. ASUS as well. I've had two Gigabyte 7950s of identical part numbers with totally different PCB layouts and power connectors. They seem to make great products, just not so good for flashing Mac ROMs unless you know how to hack the ROMs.

Best to stay with EVGA for the GTX 680. I don't recall ever seeing a report of one of their cards that doesn't work with a Mac EFI ROM. Not sure about the Classified model but I do seem them up on ebay, although those could be using a custom ROM by Rominator. That one is lots of extra money for negligible gains IMO.

Cauz I have no other PC or GPU and Mac OS won't work without EFI Bios Rom or Nvidia Web Driver!

I answer as it suits me, not any way you like it. After all, some peoples have this problem with this card ... The seller exchanges the card now against the Evga GTX 680 4GB FTW
Ha, you can slide down my hump ;)

Not really, the 680 will work OOTB with just the PC ROM in OSX.

And you can flash the card by yourself with just the Mac Pro + 680 + Windows. No other tool required, don't need an extra PC, don't need an extra GPU, don't need a card that with Mac EFI ROM, and don't need the Nvidia web driver.

It really sounds like a bad card to me. Green stripes is a common problem for a failing GPU.

Usually, but he also claims the official BIOS fixes the green stripes. Maybe the seller farked the Mac ROM with a bad memory clock? Say he's got different Mac ROMs for different cards and accidentally flashed one with too high a mem clock to this gentleman's Gigabyte?
