hey really quick, what format do i partition the disk, I know HFS but im doing it in terminal because idk if HFS is default. do I do macos extended? (assuming not but still)

Hey I have a big problem. Today I tried to boot on the MBP and realized I didn’t integrase the AMD drivers. So I go to my other Mac which I’m integrating drivers with and now when I launch RT7lite it tells me to chose the os and then it hangs and crashes my computer (not BSOD but a black screen with nothing on it)

Were you using “select OS path”? Use the ISO file.

Oh and yes I was using select os

Please do not use select OS. I recommend that you always stick to the original ISO file download it from Microsoft. In terms of partitioning the disc, use RUFUS to burn the ISO file generated by RT7Lite directly onto your USB drive

Okay! Good news! I got it to boot into setup! But there is two problems. First its not full screened, its windowed with black screen (the window is in the middle.) the other issue is that the trackpad, keyboard and USB slots don't work. Did i integrate drivers wrong?

Nvm i fixed it! I integrated the drivers to install.wim only. i didnt integrate the usb and trackpad drivers to both. By bad!

okay I’m having a problem with installing BootCamp.msi. Can anyone help?

You’re the first success in this forum with a discrete graphics card, so congratulations again! I never anticipated this to work for you, especially after many failures on the hands of many windows experts! This seems to be a compatibility issue, because the downloaded Boot Camp folder contains the installation file exclusively for Windows 10 which contains some extra binary libraries that Windows 7 doesn’t have. Now you’re the pioneer, and every step you take from now will be to the realm of unknowns, be it success or failures. It will be valuable experience and records for the peers. What I can recommend you, following my instinct, is that we follow the logic that we used earlier in the installation that. Let’s install a hybrid version of Boot Camp composed of earlier versions of the boot camp with explicit support for Windows 7 and drivers that supposedly would work only for windows 10.

I recommend you Google “Windows 7 Boot Camp” and just download whatever package that has explicit support for Windows 7, and then install only only the bootcamp software itself without installing any of the drivers. Keep the driver that we have gathered.

Cheers!

Thx! Also r u feeling better?

Yes, and I felt a whole lot better just by reading this! I’ve seen this issue elsewhere with people installing Windows 7 on models on which the OS is deprecated. Even so late into this installation, Apple is still being pestilently persistent for not letting you installing what they don’t want :-(

Was it the same USB drive? What was the last configuration that allowed you to install correctly(

I’m using the same usb drive with the same config that let me install. I even tried to find different drivers but I have them all right so I didn’t integrate more.
