Installed Failed Because of System Scan

Just an update. I followed some instructions here: http://superuser.com/questions/7047...o-1-1-from-os-x-10-6-8-to-os-x-10-9-mavericks.

Modified OSInstall.mpkg to remove Board-ID checks, RAM checks, and Virtualization checks. Putting in the amount of RAM for my machine and setting board ID and Virtualization checks to false.

Install started great, but install program did a system scan and stopped the install. It seemed to contact Apple before doing the scan. Tried unplugging my Ethernet cable, but install still failed.

Is there a way to avoid the install scanning my machine?

Mac Pro 1,1/ Mavericks

Hey guy's,
I'm new to this forum so help me out. I installed mavericks on my MP 1,1 and added a new radeon 5770, added sfott for 64 bit. Now my mac won't read my second display..it did however with lion before the upgrade...can someone tell me the fix for this problem?:)

Overcame What I Called System Scan Issue

I found this:

First thing we need to do is get the Board ID of your Mac Pro. Open up Terminal, enter the command below, and hit enter:
ioreg -p IODeviceTree -r -n / -d 1

I plugged my Board ID into the Distribution Unix Executable file using the Flat Pack Editor. If I am able to get Mavericks on my Mac Pro 1,1 I will post here. The nice thing is that I got the initial install to run but on re-boot it just gave me the initial login screen that one gets when starting their Mac after it has been powered off. I think I know what the problem is and will try some again when I have more time.

Key does not boot

Hi.

I have 10.8.5 MLPostFactor on MacBook 3,1.

SFOTT Method runs ok on 8 GB Partition and 8 GB USB Stick. But both does not boot.

With Option Key, I select 32t64 partition or USB stick, and then, my 10.8.5 boots normally.

What happens??

Thanks!

Mac Pro 1,1 "2 display is mirrored"

Can anybody tell me how my upgrade to Mavericks stop the OS from reading my 2nd display? It was working fine with Lion my earlier post request help. Anybody have any idea.

OS X Yosemite

MacPostFactor has to support OS X 10.10 'Yosemite' on older Macs now ..... ;)

As far as it has been reported, Yosemite has the same System Requirements as Mavericks and Mountain Lion.
Therefore it might also run on older Macs with the appropriate Patches and 64bit-Kexts.

There's again a public OS X Beta Program, now for Yosemite.

Judging by new features not pertaining much to newer hardware, I believe OS X Yosemite might have the same system requirements as Mavericks. The normal boot.efi, tiamo modified, and kexts should do us reasonably good. I'm going to get my hands on it later for my Macbook Pro mid 2010, so I'm thinking why not work it out on my Macbook early 2008.

Yosemite !

Now will Yosemite OS X 10.10 work for older mac pro's? Or will we still have the same issues that we have now. I really would like to see Apple come out with something to help people who can't afford to purchase $3000.00 price Mac Pro's.
I still have display problem. Do I need to change my Graphics card from ati radeon 5770 to a 6000 series card to get my displays to work right?

Probably not

If it wasn't supported before in mavericks or mountain lion, it probably isn't in Yosemite.

Hackerwayne: this question is for you. On my mp 1,1 I have Mavericks, but my displays are mirrored they work fine with Lion. So my radeon 5770 supposed to be compatible with Mavericks. So can you tell me where the problem is. Do I need a different card like a 6000 series card for this to work or is it something else.:(

I have a 1,1 with a HD5770 installed. I have a 30inch Cinema HD and a 20inch Cinema running with Mavericks without issues.

Which ports on the HD5770 are you using? One problem I did have is that the Apple mini display port adapter is very, very tender and when I was getting Mavericks to work and unplugging it repeatedly it died and I had to get a new one.

I don't have a Cinema Display, I have 2 HD TV's 39 inch Magnavox 32 inch JVC and I'm plugged into ports 1 and 4. Could this be my problem? Or all the unplugging damaged it. please tell me how you did your install to get your MP 1,1 to load Mavericks and not have display problems.
Ok will the AMD HD 6450 work for mp 1,1. Help I need to know

There are only 3 ports on the 5770. 1 DVI and two mini display ports. How are you set up. Are you using the two display ports with adapters or are you using 1 display and the DVI port?

I have 2 mini display adapter to HDMI FOR BOTH MONITORS. 1 in port 1 and the other in port 4.
How should they be setup?

See that's the thing both monitors are working there mirrored to each other. When I had Lion the OS read both with no problems after Mavericks it stop working.

OK. I assume that your problem is one monitor works and the other is black. Correct? If this is correct, I am trying to see (for starters) if you damaged the adapter on the monitor that is black (like i did).

Ok! I have 2 DVI-I adapter outside of the HDMI adapters. So when I ran Lion the displays read perfectly in preference as LCD on 1 monitor and VGA on the other one. So what went wrong? Talk about being confused, how should I set up the displays at this point? sorry! Both monitors are working I just see the same thing on both.

Oh.....I get it now. You have not been clear my friend.

Go into the Display Preferences in the System Preferences and uncheck mirroring.

Yeah! Actually I was clear. When I ran Lion both monitors work fine from within preference when you go to display the window would show Arrangement, and I could choose which monitor I needed to be my main, and I could slide open windows to the other monitor....."with me so far" ok, since changing to Mavericks they automatically mirror with no option to take mirroring off. Stay with me! I can no longer use mirroring, It doesn't read it as a separate monitor.

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough earlier.

OS X Yosemite

Has anyone figured out what Apple changed in the OS X Yosemite (DP1) installer? I keep getting an "invalid request" error when starting the installation over the mavericks partition.
