iCloud Working workaround

Using a capable Mac with Lion or Mountain Lion, create a new user account with full admin privileges, and iCloud enabled.
Use Migration Assistant to transfer the account over to your Mac Pro.
Once prompted of what you want to transfer, just select this new account. You do not need Applications, computers setting, or anything else. Just the user account.
After the transfer is complete, you should be able to use iCloud on the Mac Pro. You can remove the “dummy” account you just created from both computers.

I have not installed attentionality AppleHDA.kext.
I have followed the instruction to the letter all the way up to 5.1
I do not get to The Big Moment point 6.
As I have a Mac Pro 2.1 with a 7300 GT card I have not installed the files for th x1600 card.
When I do the installation their is the point where you can select options just before the system will install. This option list is empty. Is that correct?
I have a number of PC running on OSX so I know that sometimes you need to select some parts and not other parts.
I will try to remove the AppleHDA.kext.
Is it notrequired to run a permission then ?

I removed the AppleHDA.kext. I do not get the list but now just after the bluetooth part it reboots!

UPDATE: 15th of March 2013
Apple has released 10.8.3 currently incompatible with my hacked files. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO UPDATE VIA SOFTWARE UPDATE as it will screw up X1600 cards completely. For Xserve and Mac Pro's, (with upgraded graphics card) you will need to manually replace PlatformSupport.plist again from MLHack10.8.2!

I was going to try another install, (have just downloaded the full 10.8.3 installer). You're saying I should await some updated hack files or am I good to go?

I suggest using 10.8.2.

Stay with 10.8.2 at the moment. 10.8.3 came with a new OpenGL and won't work with the current patched OpenGL

I'm curious, how are you getting the x3100 to work with full QE/CI? What is your method of installing ML on these unsupported macs? The 10.6.2 kext for x3100 had preliminary 64-bit mode support, but from what I've read, does not include QE/CI support. So are you installing 10.8 in 32-bit mode? and if so, how?

We're transforming the whole ML to 32bit kernel. Using kexts from Lion & ML DP1

To use MLPostFactor, a new installation is required. Existing installation can't be used. Sorry bout that.

How to dual screen? I don't think any Macs that ships with X3100 comes with 2 ports.

MLPostFactor is RELEASED! Full support for ALL unsupported systems.

Do note that Bonjour/mDNSResponder does NOT work at the moment, and we're working very hard to solve it.

We're currently using 10.8.2 with MLForAll V3 hack, can we just install your MLPostInstall on the ML Setup installer and then use the /Hack.command?

Also, I guess that 10.8.3 is still unsupported due to OpenGL?

Hello if you have InstallESD.dmg, first go to terminal and make your osx show hidden files (google it), after open Installesd.dmg and inside this you have another dmg called basesystem.dmg, open it. After open basesystem.dmg you can see Install Mac OSX.app, copy this app to Aplications Folder and run MLPostFactor, installer. I make this and work

Very interesting...I'm currently running a hackintosh Macbook on a Lenovo T61 with x3100 graphics (Lion 10.7.5). It has been my understanding that this machine will never be able to run ML because of the non-64bit graphics. However, this might be a solution.

Have you ever tested on a hackintosh?

I am on macbookpro2,2 with X1600, and I found another problem is the login screen is only grey linen background without the account items after I applied the X1600 kexts and openGL.framwork.
That means I MUST activate autologin, otherwise I can't use my laptop.
I also tried safe mode by pressing shift key during booting, and it shows the login screen normally.

So we now follow the instructions from tr43 with a 10.8.2 distro?

I Just installed Mountain Lion with MLPostFactor (on iMac 24" 7300GT). Its very good, but graphics won´t work (it takes a lot of time to open lauchpad, in about my mac it say 9MB 7300GT. Sistem was very fast, except graphics ), can you fix it???

This doesn't work. I tried id but it failed (application doesn't contained the files needed to install).

Any other suggestions? I only have an InstallESD.dmg because i use it as a USB Recovery-disk and the current app-store release is 10.8.3.

Hello, i tried it on my iMac and it works, one question, you copy Install Mac OS X.app from InstallESD or from BaseSystem.dmg?
