[Guide] Success! Install 10.8 on old unsupported Mac

Hello, i tried it on my iMac and it works, one question, you copy Install Mac OS X.app from InstallESD or from BaseSystem.dmg?

I tried both

I retried with the copy out of BaseSystem.dmg and it runs the install script. no final result yet, but it's getting better

I Copied .app from basesystem.dmg to Aplications Folder and it Works. Did you eject BaseSystem or InstallESD during the process?

Nope, i didn't.
And it failed again.

Yup...
I'll try it again for yust one more time, otherwise i will wait for a 10.8.3 update

Edit: nothing worked. i think i need to wait for any 10,8,3 updates

I Just installed Mountain Lion with MLPostFactor (on iMac 24" 7300GT). Its very good, but graphics won´t work (it takes a lot of time to open lauchpad, in about my mac it say 9MB 7300GT. Sistem was very fast, except graphics ), can you fix it???

ok so i have an imac with x1600. I used the method before the new automated method you came up with. Everything seems to run perfectly even icloud after using migration. I am only running into one problem, well actually two. Facetime and imessage arent working. I get a server conection error when it trys to verify my account.

Any ideas what it could be.

Known issue, has been mentioned numerous times. AFAIK, there's no fix for this yet.

If you want, i can test 7300Gt files ( like a beta tester ) and i can say to you if works or not.

First of all, thanks for trying to help our cause !

I own a macbook 4,1 with a X3100 graphics card, and at that time nobody from apple told me to wait a couple months or consider a different model.

Anyway, I wonder whether I can install ML to work normally with this card,
either on 32-bit or 64-bit environment ?

With your latest tutorial will everything work fine ? or I should wait for future 64-bit drivers for X3100 ?

Network share does not work, which I know is being worked on. Have not found anything else. Sleep and wakeup works as it should, and Launchpad also works as it should.

Unfortunately, I have no magic mouse I can test bluetooth sync with, so I don't know if it works or not.

Hi hackerwayne, minor bug/glitch to report.

Indicator lights for open applications on the dock don't seem to be working.
Late 2006 imac, 2.16, x1600. 10.8.2 using hack v3 from ml4all.

Have 10.8.2 running with the ML for all patch v3 for the time being. Questions are:

- what benefit do I have for using the version MLPostfactor?
- can I apply it on the MLforall v3 version or do I have to reinstall?

Mac Pro 2.1 HD 5870

What is that i'm doing wrong.

I have created a pen drive as per the previous instruction.
I did NOT downloaded the x1600 files.
I installed a HD 5870 this recognized as so in 10.7.5 and it does give me a boot screen.
I erased the previous installation of ML I did from the 2nd partition.
Installed ML on the second partition all according to the guide.
Got the error screen at the end.
Boot in Lion and copies the plist file in Coreservice folder.
Reboot the system and got the apple logo at the gray boot screen and I see my mouse.
Then this screen goes away and the screen goes black with only in the upper left corner one character high white/gray block. That will blink every now and then.

I booted in verbose mode!

hello wayne, i tryed to install mlpostfactor but in my "INSTALL" the program created only 3 folders ... TMP, HACK and library ...
i have install osx mountain lion.app in my application folders ...
can u help me? thanks

I am trying the /hack.command but I get the no such file or directory error. I have a Black Macbook 2.4 GHz and I tried it using mlpostfactor. What should I do?
