[Guide] Success! Install 10.8 on old unsupported Mac

Using the MLforAll hack v2, + install combo 10.8.2 (after run /Hack.command into ML Install partition) works great, sleep, disk utility.. but laggy iSight and file sharing not working (I tested smb:// only)
I think that "hackerwayne" is hard working to fix this issues.. to the next MLPostFactor version
Mmm yesyerday I find the original.app file in my father macbook pro..
I copy it in my application folder and it occupate 4.37 gb...
But it does't work ...

We did all the work trying to figure out how to get it work in 10.8.2. Its now up to you guys to figure that out. MLPostFactor does not work on 10.8.3 as Apple has patched our files. If you don't have 10.8.2 then SOL.
i keep getting kernel panics out of nowhere after a period of time on my 4,1 macbook
Recreate your account. We are unable to replicate this issue on our test units. Can you post the KP picture?

My MacBookPro2,2 with X1600
Works perfectly by MANUALLY installing the hacked kexts, bundles, and OpenGL,
(NOT by MLPostFactor)
except:
1. I could use a part of iCloud features by migration. FaceTime and iMessages get errors while logging in, "back to my mac" always said wrong password. Others (like syncing) are working nicely.
2. I can't see anything in my login screen but only the grey linen background. The brightness and volume could be adjusted, the keyboard is able to respond, but nothing else, so I have to force it to be shut down. And it should be enabled for autologin, otherwise I will never get in. If pressing shift while booting to boot into safe mode, login screen could appear, but no kexts will be loaded.
I know the question no.1 is hard to solve.
How about No. 2? anyone has the same issue? Just to make sure if anything I've done wrong.

Whats the difference between the top download link and the (coming soon) bottom download link?
I installed 10.8 using the top link on a Late 2006 iMac with x1600 graphics, what exactly is different about this method? Only the addition of graphics support?
And why cant i update to .1, .2 or .3?

Sorry, didn't understand your last phrase after ()... Would it be enough just to overwrite the original kexts on the mac installation flash drive with the ones from your 'hack' folder? And what about the mach_kernel - is it stock or modified in the package?

X1600 supports X64. The top one is for 32-bit kernel.
Once again. This is the last time i say this.
1. USB NOT required.
2. X1600 NOT supported on MLPostFactor V0.1 Beta!
3. Bonjour/mDNSResponder/Sharing DOES NOT WORK! If you need this working, don't install! Clear?
4. Kernel Panic?! Delete your user account and create a new one!
5. Black screen? Same as #4
6. 4.37GB 10.8.2 Mountain Lion.app is REQUIRED to be in the Applications Folder. DMG/ISO/ZIP are NOT supported
7. 10.8.3 NOT supported!
8. Stuck at white screen? Make sure you use 10.8.2 installer! Else, boot into "Install" and repair permissions for ML.
9. Clean install is required if you have 10.8/10.8.1 (Or update to 10.8.2 using combo update). If you already have 10.8.2 but don't have QE/CI. Run MLPostFactor, boot into "Install", open terminal, and type /hack.command.
10. When will FaceTime, iMessage, Bonjour be fixed? No ETA. If you need that, stay in Lion.

Thanks, i only had 10.8.0 in my app folder and did combo update to 10.8.3 curious if it would work.
Can i just reinstall and do a combo update to 10.8.2? Will that work?
Also in the future, how can we update to a new version? Will we have to reinstall?
I don't know why you are mad, I said I am NOT using MLPostFactor.
I followed this thread from the beginning, I read it everyday.
What I did is the old method of replacing hacked files manually.
That method was there BEFORE MLPostFactor, or do you mean all of them called "MLPostFactor" ???
I just think you didn't read what I posted clearly.

Did account recreation same issue. Did a fresh install same results and another thing sleep function doesn't work it sleeps but wont wake up. Blank black screen shows up, have to manually restart.

The problem listed only occurs in MLPostFactor 32bit. 64bit method won't cause such issue. Please wait for X64 MLPostFactor. As for iMessage/FaceTime. No ETA on that

Kernel things, so it won't work. It uses model identifier to identify the machine (So Apple says no to that identifier and it fails). Theres no way we can change that unless we use chameleon. But what we can do is spoof the server into thinking this is a supported Mac.

I install ML with MLPostFactor on my Macbook 2,1 (2GB Ram, C2D, GMA950). It works perfectly, no lag, very fast system, lauchpad... works very well. I can say it is more faster than lion. Thank you so much.
Still waiting for v.0.2 MLPostFactor with 7300gt fix......
EDIT: I Can play videos in 1080p (Youtube) in this, without no Lag (in lion it was lag, on snow leopard no). It was incredible

Good afternoon Hackerwayne, I am currently on a Macbook 4,1. I have 10.8.2 installed via your new method. I am having sleep issues currently and get a kernel panic/black screen upon waking. (If you look real closely you can see the writing of the kernel panic, guessing the backlight doesnt come one.) Also having a "no valid packages" when trying to repair/verify permissions. I leave for Field medical training in three days, hope I can get it working by then, great work!!!

Ok some "weird" thing happened here: just for fun i tried iMessage and... it works! I don't know if it's because I was beta tester a while ago or what... anyway it looks like it's working! Other iCloud features are working also.
